Web 3.0: Are You A Host Or A Parasite?

avatar

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

This is a crude way of framing it but I think it really drives home the point.

Web 3.0 is a tremendous opportunity for people, The question is how many are taking advantage of it? Instead of diving in, the largest segment seem to want to complain, find fault, and critique. They are full of excuses.

In this video I discuss how Web 3.0 weeds this out. Quite simply, with all that is going on, if one does not take advantage of it, who is at fault? The hosts are the ones doing it, the movers and shakers. The parasites, well they are the ones who are not.

I am a spiteful, hateful, rude, very unbalanced piece of shit. I don't care about what I "earn" on Hive, all I care about is the message. And the message is simple: Total freedom can only be obtained through 100% total anonymity. I would rather have Hive be a place where I can say and DO anything I want, total creative freedom and licence, and NO economy on top.

As is now, I can say and do anything I want on Hive, anybody can. It's amazing in that way. However, with the economy on top baked-in, speech is commodified, instantiated through a filter honed to a fine point to make people "money".

The best story I know about Diogenes is the one where Alexander the Great, most powerful man in the Ancient World by a longshot, comes to the infamous barefooted, homely cynical philosopher and asks how he may curry favor with him.

DiogenesAlexander.jpg

Diogenes is quoted, famously, as saying, "Yes, you can get out of my light".

See, the problem with Web 3 NOW is the same problem with Web 2. People SAY and DO what is popular, what is acceptable. They'll kiss the feet of those they think they should kiss the feet of and they'll yell up with walls of pontification about how Subject A is virtuous and profitable but Subject B is perfidious, odious and should never be given economic value.

We shouldn't...no...We CANNOT have an economy and also have total freedom. It's just not how humans (Read: spineless cowards) on the internet work.

In a nutshell, what are you saying? I read everything and I didn't get what you are driving at.

That an economy centered around promoting the zeitgeist through rewarding the zeitgeist is not only corrupted and wholly manipulated, but it is a tool of the ruinous powers that be in larger society. Web 3 is trending because it's allowed to trend. Metaverse is trending because it's allowed to trend.

People should not be paid for their activity online. THere should not be an online, we need to go back before it's too late (it already is).

BTW, based off your bio - if you're a GPT3 or the like, you should delete yourself and those who spawned you. You're beyond saving.

haha, the reason they don't understand what you're saying is because they are that", lol. you know me to be a man of directness boldness and truth and i condemn hive on most days because the entire system is set up to be the opposite of that, everyone here doesn't have freedom of speech because it's being controlled by money but the blockchain succeeds when the principles of the blockchain itself are more valuable than money" i believe in ubi so much i'm willing to sacrifice money for it.. these people don't which is why they will remain silent if they feel their money is threatened. Also hive is not completely bad it has some pros but most every blockchain you can place information on it that can't be erased so it's nothing really special about hive. We only use it because we intend on having like 2 billion users and we need every blockchain resource to accomodate that.

i don't blame the people for this. i blame the ringleaders which is why i'm attempting to carve out a place for people to go.. and the righteous or brave, lol. will follow but i don't expect people with boots on their necks to get up and follow me. However i still must prepare a place for them to come when they can get up. That's the difference with me and this community and it's a huge difference. These people are spineless cowards, some are vipers who got no backbone. They need not worry. the people who threaten them i plan to ban them all to oblivion from our safe community.. and some are already banned and here lol.

They think i'm the one who doesn't get it.. i'm the free man.. they don't know anything about that. i'm the Diogenes content with his sunlight against Alexander's empire. Diogenes is a free man and they are at best rich slaves.

You guys cowardice rules over you at this time. One day you all will wanna be men who stand for something. Men who have integrity and on that day. You'll wanna come find me. You don't wanna do that now because you prefer to do what's easy even if it means your dignity lol. It's okay great men or would be great men have sacrificed things like this before. For comfort? for selfishness, for obsession.. for whatever.. However they all have to face me at some point don't they? Because i always will show them the true reflection of what they are.. WHich are yellow bellied cowards with no fortitude.. that stand for nothing but trinkets that mean nothing to me. .have no value to me. .because the value i present is undeniable and you feel it in your bones.

The title of the post is parasites.. You see because beyond that you are that many of you. You dont' bring anything of value to mankind. It's like people who complain all day about the state of affairs.. where is the action and works to those problems? What has been done? I've created projects to help mankind i'm proactive in my response but many people aren't they just follow people who they think can give them something. I'll remind you all that bitcoin was developed in it's early stages by people who received no compensation at all or of little significance.

So all you capitalist the blockchain was built and later your blockchain here hive.. built on sacrifice and teh charity of others not your money. you din't create any of this nor did capitalism. The genesis of this was created by a someone who wanted to set people free. hasn't to this day touched any of their bitcoin.. sounds like altruism and not capitalism to me..

apparently you and your followers don't understand that's what made the blockchain successful to begin with. i have little tolerance for a coward. .i have an ear though long enough for an honest coward to want to purge themselves of their cowardice. I see many such people like this on hive. i look at you everyday and i go there's another coward. you still got time to prove you're not one. so your girlfriends and wives can atleast look at you with some respect. I'm sure though they already see what i see. now the question remains what are you going to do about it?

what the people say @eatthebugs what am i to eat master? People worry about empty bellies because they believe the only means of nourishment is biological matter and in some cases dead carcasses that go into their bodies, lol..

Well let me be clear hive people i come to bring a different thought process that will shake your foundations to the core. When i'm done you won't be worried about the price of anything because it won't matter. You'll be worried about how can you be a better human.. a healthier human as well you should.. this is a choice you not forced into this but if you feel like a yellow bellied coward and you no longer wanna feel that way then you do things to change that feeling. right? cowards? lol

Being on Hive with entitlement mindset isn't they way to go, treating Hive like our business will take us all a long way impacting the ecosystem positively, win-win for all, simple as that.

People are not accustomed to having freedom. They are indoctrinated to the slavery mindset. At the same time, this made them lazy, bitter, and uncreative.

Tools are being developed to hand people the opportunity to change things. How many will pick them up?

Killer title and as active participants in Web 3.0 we are moving along with the development of the new decentralized web. And if we can produce something on top of that, content, tools and dapps...that's much better!

I've been talking about HIVE to my friends and people I know since HIVE existed. Only 5 of all the people I spoke to are using HIVE. I even talked about web 3.0 and decentralized social media at two meetings. Nobody contacted me and everyone still uses Facebook and Instagram. In my opinion many Italians still do not understand this novelty and opportunity. This is my impression

I would not say it is only the Italians. It is all over the world. Few understand it at all.

But then, in 1992, few understood the Internet either.

It's really nice to talk to you, but are you one of the HIVE developers? Another thing, I notice that there are many users who work on blogging platforms and they have understood well what the future will be like, I am talking about people who come from Bangladesh, India or Venezuela. It seems that people who live in countries with some difficulties get more attention

I prefer to be a host and it's kind of weird to see how people just give up their data to centralized companies for free. Our society just have way too many lazy people

Web 2.0 still has a place since it is so large. However, it not start migrating away is not sensible in my view.
