LeoAI: A Foundation To Build Upon

LEO Premium is a sensational model.

To quickly recap, users pay 10 HBD per month for Leo Premium. This is used to buy $5 worth of $HIVE and an equal amount of $LEO. Both of these are placed in a liquidity pool on BSC, with the LP burned. What this means is we are adding permanent liquidity to the pool, hopefully enabling people to enter and exit the ecosystem.

As the number of premium members increases, the amount purchased (in USD) will increase. So while the number of tokens could decrease if they go up in price, the USD amount will keep growing.

Here is where we can see getting very interesting. Consider a time when the are, say, 5,000 premium members on Leo. That would be roughly $50K entering the pool on a monthly basis. Since it only keeps adding to the total, the TVL will appreciate.

The only factor is what is needed to get people to sign up for Leo Premium?

AI Features

Leo is simply following a trendthat we see taking place across the technology world.

Twitter is now offering Grok to those who have Twitter Blue+ or whatever it is called. For $16 per month, one gains access to this chatbot, one that is being trained using Twitter data.

While what Leo is building is more confined, it is following the same principle. Why not take AI features that can be built using the data on the platform and feed it back to the community. Of course, as mentioned above, the purchase of Premium means the tokens are bought off the market and dropped in the liquidity pool.

From what we are told, the first iteration, which was trained on over 1 million threads, will operate similar to ChatGPT. It will be a simple bot that can answer Leo related questions. Over time, as the machine learning is expanded based upon the content, we might see the system improve to be able to navigate a host of other topics.

To me, this is just the starting point. Leo should look at this as the foundation of further expansion.

AI Expansion

In addition to feeding the chatbot more data, Leo should explore other aspects of content creation.

For example, we were told about there being an image server now run by Leo. This also can serve as the foundation for another feature.

What would it be like to be creating a post and to have LeoAI generate an image? Here we see something that is possible if enough images are fed into the engine. Obviously, having a server means Leo is now accumulating them.

Of course, video creation is another area that is garnering a great deal of attention. This is something that is still in the early stages yet should be considered. Could it get to the point where Leo is able to get a system in place which will offer AI generated videos?

Obviously, we are dealing with a bunch of different technologies, some of which are unaffordable at today's prices. That said, we know the cost of information technology comes down over time. We also see how the community could be willing to feed in more data as it has a direct benefit on those who are holding the token.

This is something that separates Web3 from the Web 2.0 platforms. While the users of X could get some benefit from Grok, the financial gain is Elon Musk and his investors. On Leo, the gain is realized by each person with tokens in their wallet.

AI - The Foundation

There is no way that AI technology is going to not be a major part of the future. We are long past the point of putting that genie in the bottle. Therefore, platforms need to see how to incorporate this into their operations.

We know Web 2.0 is all over this. However, the structure of Web3 makes it ideal for this to occur.

Premium memberships can become a great deal more valuable with AI features built in. Naturally, scaling is a huge issue and the major social media platforms have an enormous advantage. Nevertheless, something like Leo can start with the data being placed on the platform and start building from there.

Threads can be a very valuable tool since it can help to generate a great deal of data. Naturally, there is a great deal of upside considering how X generates around 500 million tweets per day. Threads basically has to 5x as quickly as it can.

We can see how there is now incentive for everyone on this platform to input as much data as he or she can. The machine learning engine is swallowing up all it can. For this reason, we want to cross the 10K threads per day level. In fact, it is imperative.

Data - The New Oil

This is a saying that people keep repeating. While it is not exactly accurate since most data is worthless, we can use the concept to illustrate how we are generating value.

The idea is to push more to the platform. To me, this starts with the database and what we are posting. Increasing the amount that is inputted only helps push the entire situation forward.

When looking at this situation, we have to realize all of this is in the hands of the community. We determine what we place on the platform. It is up to us to decide how many pages we view each day. The amount of activity is something we can either increase or decrease, simply by our actions.

If the machine learning engine needs more data, it is up to us to generate it. That means more threads and engagement.

Since the start, there was every reason to believe this was going to be the case. Many scoffed at the notion of increasing activity, believing it had no impact. Here is a prime example of how this not the case. We were told on the AMA exactly what is occurring, and how threads were used to train the system. How much further along would it be if there were 3 million threads indexed as opposed to 1 million?

The answer is not important since we are not at 3 million. That said, it is time for us to work in that direction.

Will the community step up? That is always the most crucial question.

This is pretty amazing and makes total sense. I know that we could curate some pretty interesting data, considering how wide the use is for Leo and threads right now. Lots of different stuff going into it. I certainly enjoy being able to look forward to this type of thing.

One thing that I think would be helpful - is there a way to sponsor someone’s premium membership? I don’t think I could do it now but that would be a sweet power up day prize for someone and the added benefits of that! I know when I purchased it a few days ago I did it from the Leo front end but wondering if we sent the HBD and put an @ user name in there it could be applied to that person.

Just thinking of this as a way to help the newer members and people who don’t have a considerable amount of liquid assets to spend 10 HBD per month.

Yes that was built last month. I am not sure exactly how it works but if you hit premium, I think it is located in there.

If the AI features can really be make use of, it can even push leofianance forward as a brand

It can help it along. This is a service that could be provided to Leo users that could be helpful.

I'm still not sold on premium. Maybe if I bit the bullet, my daily edm video of the day posts on inleo would attract some small fan base and a few likes. But most of the days my videos just sink into the abyss and I'd rather just use those funds to invest in and strengthen my position in Splinterlands. Should I invest more effort into inleo for the short-form content? Well see...

I've found that my time has been more valuable focusing on daily activity journals through actifit and sharing art/food from my hometown of NYC.
