Well nothing Tesla makes is cheap yet that never stopped their sales.

I am sure it will be comparable with the other loaded full size ones. Hell, a F-150 can get into the $70K range.

I knew that truck could be expensive but we don't know what Elon will be thinking in his head now, he's things are sometimes a bit different from the usual 🙃

LOL that is true. He is often on another level completely from the rest of us.

I think the truck starts around $45K or $50K but the first will be the more expensive models. Tesla has such demand that it doesnt really produce many of its cheaper end of their models.

What's the millage on a full charge?
It matters a lot in towing. I agree, there's much more towing around town, but that's occasional towing, the ones towing boats and trailers need autonomy.
The Cyber truck is one of a kind. I don't know how it stands against Rivian, but I sure know it's going to have strong competition in the Raptor for off roading.
EVs are the future, that's for sure, but man, if America has done something great, it's these V8s. I would not trade one of those for an EV in a million years. I also don't believe in the crap that EVs are more ecofriendly(if we take into account the production process as well and not just driving emissions).
I would like to see one of these on our roads, which are not that wide. A Chevrolet Tahoe or a Raptor sure looks huge in here. Also worth mentioning is that the German inter city roads are even tighter...

The Cybertruck, if it is going to be sold in Europe, will be a redesigned unit, smaller than the one for the states. It simply is too big for Europe.

I am not sure of the range on it. Hell, it is not finalized I am sure since it is not in production. By the time they enter that, the battery technology will be near a year further along.

As for the Raptor, that is the tradeoff. The payload drops way down on that one. That is where the Cybertruck excels; it will still have a huge payload so no trade off.

I would not trade one of those for an EV in a million years.

The torque in the EVs is incredible. That is what is going to make the Cybertruck so powerful. It can rival what diesel provides.

As for Rivian, a terrific product from what I read. The key there, like with all of these, is scaling. Will they be able to produce it in large enough quantities?

So far, few companies have been able to ramp up production.

Rivian has had a partnership lately, but I don't remember the company, probably Porsche. It might help with scalability

They had a big deal with Ford along with getting investment dollars from Amazon.

That said Ford appears to have stepped back from them for some reason.

Will the cyber truck be able to take up those difficult terrains? I was thinking that it would just be a normal truck without having the focus on those aspects.

It is reported that it will also have off-roading capabilities. I dont think it will climb Mount Everest but I think it will be able to satisfy the hunters and campers.

I'm a country girl. Wanted a truck my whole life, but closest I got so far was a ginormous van when I still had 6 kids at home. I think I will set a goal to buy a truck before my 60th birthday (Feb 2023)
