It’s amazing to see how fast technology is moving. Having 1,500 robotaxis on the road would be a big step forward for self-driving cars. I’m really curious to see how people react once they start running in both cities.
1,500 robotaxis in Austin and SF by year end.. that’s a big swing.
If the monthly utilization hits, say, 60%+ and there operating cost per mile falls under $0.50, the cashflow story starts to look real, fast.
Biggest swing factor feels like ADmin and insurance risk pooling, not the tech, so the runway depends on how quick cities clear the curb space.
If they nail it, the parking lots here will be the new ghost towns :)
