Music on Leo
One of the main goals with Music on Leo was to create content that gets repeat traffic. This means building libraries that can be shared and generate page views.
Music is something that can be repeatedly listened to. That is why the number on YouTube, as an example, get so large. Granted, a lot of the songs were up there for years yet that is exactly the point. Songs we post today can be listened to 5 years from now.
What happens if there are 50K songs in our database? How many of them can be accessed on a daily basis? The cool thing is one the 50K are in, they do not leave.
It removes the need to continually start over.
This is being augmented with some other initiatives. We will not delve into them now as they are the basis for a separate article.
The key to take away is to get content building that works to your advantage. Right now, thread views count for the total. In the future, this will apply to your monthly evergreen rewards.
Leo Activity = "Buying"
In conclusion, we have to stress that activity on Leo is the equivalent of buying the token. It is through this that the ad revenue contract enters the market. There is no difference between that purchase and one you do using some token as a swap.
What separates this concept is no money is required, simply activity.
The numbers will grow as more people focus upon this. Music on Leo is just one way we seek to do this.

If people understand the concept that the more activities on Leo, the more advertising revenue, therefore more tokens will be purchased and consequently $LEO will have more value.
We will always try to put the numbers up, I believe that with #musiconleo it will be one of those more fun paths and that we will be able to achieve our goals.
Yes I agree with you. We were able to generate a couple hundred top line page views with a few people in the party. We need to add more to that.

What would be the lowest hanging fruit for more engagement?
As you said, for music there are better platforms like youtube or spotify. What else could we build into library of content?
To start, better does not pay the bills. That is the first thing to understand. We have over 150 playlists that, while lacking autoplay, can be used to listen to music. Of course anyone can build then.
We have someone building #booksonleo. I think music has the potential to put up the biggest numbers but anything could work. Sports is another huge opportunity if people start to focus upon it.

I wouldn't overestimate the database because it's not really a db of music. It's more of a directory of links. And they lead to one of the finest examples of web2 Big Tech. Within 5 years, it can turn into a directory of links leading nowhere, and there's nothing we can do about that.
Besides, other restrictions apply. I live in the Czech Republic in the EU. When I browse YT, it only shows me content I can actually play here. Leo suggests songs I can't listen to. That is, from my point of view, a huge disadvantage compared to any similar tool which prevents me from actually using Leo Music. I guess many users will face similar issues.
Good thing those who don’t have much to buy Leo up can do so with their activities. There’s a lot that people need to change when it comes to being active on Hive. Anyone not using Leo at this point is really not interested in investing in Leo.

That is why the number on YouTube, as an example, get so large- Music is indeed a universal language, with the innovation and invention of music on Leo I'm quite certain it will come handy for melophiles such as me who are in search of new songs to build their music playlist .
Agree 1000%. We will keep building it and hopefully, over time, as the library gets bigger, we will see the numbers get larger. I will not be surprised to see some songs (threads) getting 10,000 page views as time passes.
