Humanoid Bots: What Is The Future? (Tesla Is Looking To Ansewr This)

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We have Tesl'a AI day coming up next week. What is the Tesla bot going to look like? Odds are it is going to disappoint simply because many are looking for it to be more advanced than it will be. Those in the industry, however, are watching closely to see if there are true breakthroughs that will not impress the masses but are major steps forward.

In this video I take a step back and discuss the idea of humanoid bots both from a commercial along with a social point of view. This could end up being larger than people think.

I don't think it's a bad idea and I do think that robots will start taking over some of the more mundane tasks. For example, if there was something that cleans your toilet, I am sure there would be a ton of people who want it. Just a cleaning bot wouldn't be a bad thing.

I am just very skeptical of the purpose of robots in the current world climate. It's sad that the Roomba cleaning robot maps your house and the company either sells or provides that information to the government or highest bidder. It's all masked with convenience but like in the iRobot movie, they will eventually be connected up and used as a way to control us. Pain in the ass!

In this video, the speaker discusses the ongoing development of humanoid robots, specifically focusing on Tesla's interest in this area. He acknowledges that while we are still years away from fully functional humanoid robots, the potential applications in both commercial and social settings are vast. The speaker highlights how humanoid robots could revolutionize industrial automation and bring about a new level of social interaction, particularly for those living alone or in need of assistance.

Detailed Article:
In the video, the speaker delves into the topic of humanoid robots and the potential they hold for the future. He acknowledges the skepticism surrounding Tesla's involvement in this field, emphasizing that despite being in the early stages of development, significant progress has been made in the advancement of human-like robots. The speaker notes that while current industrial machinery is highly advanced, it lacks human characteristics and is limited in flexibility.

The speaker then explores the commercial applications of humanoid robots, envisioning a future where these robots can perform a wide range of general-purpose tasks. He gives examples of tasks such as cleaning, organizing, inventory management, and even more complex activities like shoveling snow or removing a roof. By highlighting the flexibility that humanoid robots could offer compared to traditional machines, the speaker emphasizes the potential for widespread automation across various industries.

Moving on to the social aspect, the speaker discusses the importance of human characteristics in humanoid robots, especially in situations where companionship or assistance is needed. He mentions the potential benefits for individuals living alone, particularly the elderly, who could benefit from a humanoid robot's ability to assist in emergencies or provide companionship. The speaker raises thought-provoking questions about whether people would form emotional bonds with these robots, drawing parallels to interactions with pets.

Furthermore, the speaker speculates on the conversational capabilities of humanoid robots, envisioning them as intelligent entities with access to vast amounts of information via the internet. He suggests that humanoid robots could engage in meaningful conversations on diverse topics such as weather, history, politics, and more, essentially acting as super smart companions. The speaker emphasizes the need for companies to start working on humanoid robots now, as the development process is lengthy, but envisions the possibility of seeing specific-purpose humanoid bots by the end of the decade.

In conclusion, the speaker encourages viewers to consider the potential of humanoid robots in both commercial and social settings, highlighting the significant impact these advancements could have on automation, assistance for individuals in need, and social interactions.
