Hi friends! Today I want to show you three or four (depending on how you count) graffiti that I saw during my walk around Petrogradsky Island. Three or four depends on how we count the elephant yard: as one art-object with a complicated concept or as two independent ones?

From the street side the drawings inside are hardly visible. The graffiti hides in the shadows, and one could pass by without noticing it. But the family of elephants above the entrance to the archway is too cute to walk past and not stop to consider them. And the elephants are only one step away from these figures in the dark.

The next find awaited me in the cul-de-sac of the courtyard on the next street. It looked unexpected, as if it had been preserved on this wall since about 1915. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to come across this composition done in oil paint on canvas in some museum hall.

The third graffito, in comparison with previous works, is very simple. It's also low-key and inconspicuous. It is a logo of Dynamo football club. But it is also an interesting greeting from the past. The fame of this football club ended in the 1950s. In those days it was really popular, played in the top league and ranked high in the championships. But later it was relegated first to the first league and later to the second one. I can hardly tell you anything interesting about the future fate of that club: the team was disbanded, then reassembled, moved somewhere, played somewhere sometimes... The most popular football team in St. Petersburg nowadays is Zenit, and I have not heard anything about Dinamo for many years.
