Shadow Hunters Contest — Round 140. Shadow of the gates
This is a shade from the gate in front of Kirill Razumovsky's palace, which now houses the St. Petersburg Pedagogical University. Stone building in the style of early classicism was built by the architect J. B. Wallen-Delamot in the 1760s for the president of the Academy of Sciences Kirill Grigoryevich Razumovsky. The palace was bought out by the treasury in 1781 and a school was set up there. Monument to Russian teacher Konstantin Ushinsky stands in front of the main entrance.

Thank you very much!
This is such a beautiful shadow photo. Even the statue has its own shadow which I thought was a man standing at the back. I just love this. Maybe I call this "From Russia With Love." Thanks for sharing.
