A few more random Shots taking with my Big Lens

A few more random Shots taking with my Big Lens

This post was a second option for photos I could use for tomorrows Wednesday Walk post, these are all shots taken with my Big lens I use when trying to take photos of birds, but keeping this post bird free and sharing some other shots I took while not so patiently watching for birds in the area, I ended up going with another set of photos that I will share tomorrow mostly with wider lenses.

Let me start with this photo of the Palmers Island Lighthouse with a Group out on what I have bene told is a whaling boat, and also with a Tug boat heading out by the lighthouse

Many of these shots are taken at the shorter end of the range of this lens around 200MM, and this next photo was taken by Westport Beach, of the waves breaking over a rock, I know I could have got a better shot if I switched to one of my wider lenses but I generally don't like changing lenses when on a beach and risk getting sand onto the sensor

This was taken on a short walk in the Allens Pond Wild Life sanctuary after catching the sunrise on the beach a rock Island on the Pond.

This has to be the most I've read and seen about the sea. A lighthouse and boats! These are great pictures too and I loved the explanation in-between! I do hope to visit a harbor someday (that's what they call it right? Harbor? Or Harbour? 😂) Don't mind me. Being silly!

As always, they are stunning photographs but what I like most is the 2nd photo. The waves splashing on the rock.

All of a sudden I wish to have a camera like yours, not just a phone camera. I'm just so jealous to see your shots. By the way, I love the most is that Allen pond's sanctuary. The texture of the color is so perfect.

Those are some pretty impressive oars on the whaling boat. I don't think I would be able to move even one of them! Nice shots as always! That rock island is pretty cool. Any more info on that? I can't remember if you have shared about it before in the past.

Palmer Island Lighthouse is a cool shot. Its interesting to hear you talk about bird photos versus landscapes. Whole different vibe. Pursuit haha. Both require patience. Patience to catch a bird versus patience to wait for the perfect light.

Thanks for your feedback
Yes two completely different styles of photography I think birding requires more patience standing and waiting for them
Sunrise landscapes as the light changes I am walking back and forth

What a great photographs @tattoodjay 😁😎 I love the first one. It has such a classic vibe in sepia.
Beautiful composition.
And the next one. The rock and the wave hitting it. Stunning… all great captures.
Thanks for sharing.

The ISO ranges used in some of the photos scares me :-D Coming from cameras with not-so great ISO performances, these numbers are something I need to try now ...

So we were on the same boat ;-) ISO 800 was my upper limit too. Now I am trying to change that habit a bit :)

With me it was stuck in my head for so long to not go Above 800 but not getting more comfortable with it
