A Visit to Popes Island

Good morning Everyone, for todays post I am revisiting Popes Island one morning as the sun was rising.

But a little different from my other posts on Popes Island, generally I walk in the area off to the right or behind in the first photo I share, looking out over the marina on the right, or some of the commercial fishing boats on the other side of the swing Bridge which is behind me.

I had walked those area earlier during the blue hour, and as I was walking back towards my car to catch the colors of the sunrise, I decided to walk forward instead of going by the marina, so I strolled forward by the other bridge which connects to Fairhaven.

On this side I saw a few more commercial fishing boats docked, I thought this shot worked well in Mono even though there was some nice colors in the sky.

Standing beside the bridge to Fairhaven I was enjoying the nice warm colors of the sunrise over the water and a few private water craft

Looking to the right a little still enjoying the golden colors of hte sunrise and showing the bridge, I am pretty sure I have not shared any shots from this side of the Popes Island before.

And since i have mentioned the bridge a few times I had to add a shot of me as I was walking over the bridge.
I often on my morning walks after the sun has risen and the colors faded, walk across this bridge to get my step count up, and most times by that stage I have stopped taking photos and walking at a quicker pace.

Striding out in the early morning, delightful pastel skies to enjoy. Bridge looks a great place to walk taking in some fresh air.

Nice! I'll admit, I really do like that one, sole, lonely, black and white photo. It has character.

I think you are right, I don't recall seeing this vantage point before. It is interesting the difference in size of the ships and boats that use this port. They run the full range it looks like!

Yeah the range of commercial fishing boats that are based here is pretty impressive to see

Great colors as always. I like that first shot. Different view for you. Nice "main street" feel even though I think its just the car park and marina haha Looks like a lot of old downtowns with brick facades and often a city park near the main road.

Lovely shots, @tattoodjay!
