Another Monday another Mono Post
Another Monday another Mono Post
good morning all, another week begins and I hope it is a good one for you all
this past week we had mostly rainy days even though it was a bit warmer, this coming week its cooling down again to the 30s but looks like we may have some sunny days, so I am hoping to get out for a walk or two and get some new photos, but in the meantime for todays post I going to share a few shots from my archives that I thought would work well with mono edits.
starting with this building I see when I take a walk on the Harbor walk, an older commercial building of sometime that isnt that noteworthy, but I like it more for the reflections in the water.

Next one is of the Frates Milk Bottle Building, here in New Bedford, which now houses a Pizza restaurant.
The milk bottle is 52 feet tall
The Frates Milk Company built three of these style buildings but only two remain standing, this one and one in Raynham MA, which One day I will drive to to see what it is like.
Originally the buildings were used as Ice Cream stands.

next up we have this old building in Hazelwood Park, I think it is called the Howland House, and was built in 1890

This is on the walkway that goes around the cisco Restaurant, I love the way after it has rained and the footpath is wet it reflects the light in the sky nicely

And finishing off with a shot of Fort Rodman in Fort Tabor Park

Love the Bottle house...is there something in the bottle actually? Like a room or sth?
I think it is empty but not 100 sure
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
The old brick building with the reflection 👍 Nice monos
Thanks
Have a great day
Nice shots! Good thing you didn't have @slobberchops along with you for these shoots. He would have had you breaking into the place and exploring! What a bunch of cool old buildings. I really like that one of Howland House.
I think that building is still used so breaking in that one wouldn't be a good idea lol
Yeah, I don't think a lot of the stuff he does would be too advisable in the US!
There were some buildings in Bridgeport CT I passed on that train that made me think of him and want to explore
I do that a lot too!
You really know how to capture your subject! I love the reflections of the old building in the water, wowza!!!
Thanks I hope the New Year has started well for you
This year is great, especially the warm winter weather, lol. I hope it is well with you both too.
Yes the year started with some nice warmer weather even if a lot of rain, but now its cooling down again
A poem @tattoodjay friend!

That milk building is pretty cool! Very original. That first building looks like it may have been a mill at one point, and actually looks remarkably like a building I used to work in.
I do love that milk builidng i must go and find the other one that is still standing
I do believe that mill building is still in use or at least parts of it I have seen light son inside it some mornings
