Foggy Mono shots on a Monday

Continuing on with my habit of sharing Mono shots on a Monday, this week going with shots taken on foggy mornings which I find often work better with a mono edit.

Starting with this shot of a Commercial fishing boat heading out from the harbor for a hard days work on the water

And a shot from one of my many morning walks last year, along the coast over the Harbor Hurricane wall walk and past Cisco Breweries Restaurant and bar, Looking back with the Restaurant outside area on the left and the small pier on the right

This is at the other end of the harbor walk, looking across to Palmers Island on the right, and the poer on the left in the distance, I only got out to walk on Palmers island once last year, I must visit it again at least once this year, but when it warms up as often you have to wade through the water to get there and not going to do that till it warms up a bit

And back at the other end of the walk again, even on a foggy morning I cannot resist at least one shot of the pier

And I have mentioned the harbor walk a few times so I have to include a shot from up on the walk its a great walk for getting in morning steps and views by the water

And a last shot to finish the post, looking across the other side of Palmers Island and you can just faintly make out the lighthouse on the right of the island

Moody Mono Monday 😃
I love fog and walking in the fog and from all the photos I like the harbor walk most - the lights look cool leading in a curve into the nothing 😃

on New years day I we had a nice thick fog, and I went down to the port, edited some this morning focusing on the foggy views for probably next Mondays mono post :)

The first work day this year wasn't different from the last day of 2021 😁 but this week is only a short one, because Thursday is a holiday and I want to take Friday off 😎

Oh man what great shot the harbor walk was (they were all great, but this one spoke to me lololol). I got the feeling of a subtle dimensional shift occurring as the fog rolled in. It is very ominous and otherworldly (two of my favorite characteristics of photos)

Those foggy days! I am adding that to my list. I want to wake up early to get out and go to Greenwich Park to grab some foggy morning photos. :D

it is really challenging to capture our own view when it is foggy out there, mostly pictures turn out overly light or dark, you did a nice job, keep going

Thanks it can be very tricky but if one gets lucky you can get shots with a moody or magical feel

Indeed, I grew up in New Zealand where no matter where you live your not far from the water so I guess I would say the sea is in my blood even if I am not a sailor :)

The kiwi bird, I think, doubts that it is a bird, for the reason that it does not have wings, but, it is a bird, so you should not doubt that you are a sailor)
