Fort Tabor is more than the fort and beach

Fort Tabor is more than the fort and beach

I have visited and shared posts from Fort Tabor Park here in New Bedford often, mostly of sunrise walks on the beach and sometimes of Fort Rodman the old fort in the park, but for this post I thought I would do something different and shared some shots of other parts in the park that I often walk by getting my steps in but not sure I have shared photos of before.

OK now going against what I just said with the first shot as it is of Fort Rodman, but one morning recently I noticed there was a small hole in the door and you could see inside the Fort

Around the park there are a few battlements looking out over the water

Some smaller and some quite large

Walking past those ones if you look closely you can see something in the trees off to the right lets head over there and see what it is

Looks like a fairly big structure lets go closer

Beside the entrance I saw some graffiti on the walls

Looking in there is even more graffiti, there was a fence blocking entry into here and it was pretty dark and I did not have a torch so I did not look for a way to get in there which clearly there must be with all this graffiti maybe another day I will go back with a torch and explore

That is pretty cool. I bet it is a place that the kids like to hang out when they are looking to get into trouble! We have a few places like that around here. Either that or it is where the homeless hang out. @slobberchops would have been jumping the fence were he allowed to come back into the states!

Cool photos especially the first one. But StreetArt is s not so great: abandoned buildings generally make perfect canvases for artists 😀
Enjoy your day.

What is beautiful nature exactly together s abandoned house
Trees decorating the place not to mention the place that looks like it will take Freddy in when you set foot in it 🏃

Que es bonito la naturaleza exacto juntos s casa abandonada
Árboles decorando el lugar ni se digo el lugar que parece que va a llevar Freddy en cuando pongas el pie 🏃

Cool to see inside fort. I like the abandoned looking shots and the grafitti. Funny I just don't like them together lol Its like abandoned buildings are very cool. And I like street art. But when inside the old fort, the grafitti kind of ruins the space 🤷‍♂️
