Hurricane Barrier Wall

Digging through my folders in lightroom which luckily earlier in the year I perhaps got carried away both with walking and taking photos, so I have plenty of photos I have never edited, so for today I am going to share some photos of on or by the the Hurricane Barrier wall here in New Bedford,

I should say by one of the Hurricane barrier walls, as there is a couple of them here, and the city built walking paths along portions of them, which are very popular with people getting out for walks fresh air and exercise, not to may at the time i head out before and during the sunrise, but when I drive by it during the say I almost always see people walking along it.

This year i did not actually walk that many times along the wall, the previous year I did walk there at least once or twice a week, this year i was exploring more other areas to walk.

this first shot is near where i park the car sometimes if heading to the wall, its a nice view before heading onto the walk way, a ship off to the left and the Hurricane Barrier wall to the right

The ship again a more more clear from a different perspective, this is as I was walking alongside a portion of the hurricane barrier wall

and now on the walk way, the sun was actually rising off to the left of me as I took this shot, but dark clouds were obscuring it, but ahead of me some reds where in the sky

Further along the walk it carriers on a little to the left, and to the right is down to the road

and at the other end of the wall, looking back at the Hurricane barrier and you can see the fence on top for the walkway

Is this from the new area where you live or from near your old home? It's hard to believe you have been retired that long and living in your new place already! Time sure does fly by much too quickly! Awesome shots as always, the reflections of the lights on the water is probably my favorite part.

This is where i live now, yes I to find it hard to believe only a month or so away from being retired for three years

Yeah I was shocked when I thought about it LOL, I retired end of Jan 2020 and Moved in June

To me it looks like a scene painted by an artist, quite an interesting and fascinating environment, but it is undoubtedly a wonderful place to walk.

There's always something unique along this walk. The lighted ship coming in, or the clouds, or the color in the sky. Great photos as usual 👍

Such beautiful captures. Love the first two… the darkness and the rising sun… just showing you the silhouettes of all. Beautiful.

These are so peaceful, so still. The contrast of light and sky and sea in the first photo is breathtaking. You really do amazing work with a camera.
