Monday Motors the Whaling City Festival car show Part 2

Monday Motors the Whaling City Festival car show Part 2

Continuing on with my switch up from Mono Mondays to Motor Madness Mondays with a few more shots from the Car show which was a part of the Whaling City Festival in Buttonwood Park.
Now I am not expert on cars so I don't know the model and in some cases the make of the cars, so if I get something wrong or do not name a car please feel free to leave a comment and let me know :)

Starting with this red Chevrolet

Now not saying some of todays cars are not cool, and have al the belts and whistles and modern technology, but for me I love seeing the classic cars, they built them with style and class back then

Now I know I showed this t-Bucket in a previous post, but here it is again where it was staged for the show, probably my favorite of all the cars there and hence another shot of it

and the Black Beauty Truck again with his dog as a passenger another of my favorites that I saw that day

many of the cars were parked into groups of similar cars, I am not sure if it was car clubs parking together or arranged by the people hosting this event

some more lined up at least these owners could sit in the shade from the trees

Thanks to @steven-patrick I can say this next one is a Plymouth Roadrunner from the 70's, I shared a shot of it in a previous post on a trailer, when they pulled it off the trailer and parked it here, you could tell it has a powerful engine, as I joked to a family member, I wonder how many gallons it does per mile :)

A corvette heading into the car show area

And to finish off this post a SS Camaro I believe, when I was young the two cars I dreamed to one day own was a Camaro or a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am admittedly I believe that idea came to me after watching the movie Smokey and the Bandit

Knight Rider is one of the most iconic TV series from the 1980s. So sad that Universal Studios cancelled this show after its fourth season in 1986 because of high production costs. I was born on 1992.09.17, but I still saw this TV series on TV in my childhood, and I like it. My brother was born on 1994.03.19, and this is one of his favorite TV series. Probably many more similarly young (or even younger) people like Knight Rider.

haven't seen it in a while but back then there was nothing better to watch, surprised none of the streaming services has rebooted it like they did with magnum.

haven't seen it in a while

I watched a few episodes on the internet a few months ago. My brother and me watched this show mostly on TV. Nowadays I do not have TV, but a reboot to this TV series would be indeed good. I would happily watch it on the internet.

Modern cars are so anodyne, soulless with no character, often sold it seems on the number of gimmicky gadgets they can cram in. Who the fuck needs reversing alarms and cameras? Turn your fucking head and look behind you! Old Skool.

and yes I know I am running short of petrol I don't need you bing fucking binging at me.

Love the T-Bucket, reminds me of Wacky Races on the TV when I was a kid

Ohh yeah I remember whack races loved that show when I was young,
and I totally agree with you classic cars had style and finesse, far better than the modern cars with all the gadgetry and gimmicks

I'm pretty sure the red Chevy is an Impala. I had a friend in San Jose that had one. Early 60s. Funny how 50s cars were all rounded and then 60s was straight clean lines.

The fascination with old cars and boys never ceases to amaze me! :) I had a Pontiac Firebird, but not a Trans Am. I just wanted the pretty, I knew so little about power.

These are sweet-looking deals. Does Lulu like going with you to look at the cars?

I love looking at them here, but, not skilled enough to ask questions at those gatherings.

I'd hate to see what the costs would be to make sure it's in good shape and working. Not to mention how hard it would take to find the parts and the waiting period to get it.

You are right with your submission that today's are cool but I will agree with you that there is a form of class and admiration that goes with various vintage cars and really good to see when compared to the current cars. Thank you for the great insight about the vintage type of cars.
