Mono Monday some shots from my walk out to Palmers Island recently
As I tend to do on a Monday I am going to share some mono Images for todays post
These shots were all taken on a recent walk out by Palmers Island here in New Bedford recently
Starting with this shot I took on the island, most of the trees still very bare at this stage

Someone in a comment recently asked why I say they are ono images and not black and white so I thought i would touch on that today
Black and white photography is the most prominent example of monochrome photography, as it represents subjects in varying shades of neutral gray, but includes no other colors.
In monochrome photography, tones of a single color are used to represent all the different colors within an image
or to put it more simply, B&W photos only use blacks white and shades of grey, whereas Mono images may be shades of another color which I often do, with blues or Sepia tones
I was not the only one on the Island that day I saw these couple of guys on top of one of the rock formations on the Island

On the Island looking along the Hurricane Barrier wall with Fairhaven in the background.

Not quite sure what type of ship this is, its fairly large and caught my eye across the water it is docked at one of the ports in Fairhaven

And finishing off with a shot of the Island after I walked back of it with the trees being bare I though it almost looked better in Mono

And that’s all folks
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Those black and white's have some really crisp contrasts. Awesome work.
I like the bare trees and the rock island in mono. Those type of shots really look good in mono. Have a great Monday 🙂

We could use a few mono shots in our lives, sometimes.
A change from being too colorful, hahaha.

I love ecgo photography, I'm taking a course and especially the black and white photos allow you to see more details that the colors steal, thank you for this gift to the eye.

Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
And less sad or better yet more appropriate as bare trees in color would be contradictory.
Yes a very good point
thanks for your visit
