Mono Monday something different for me

Mono Monday something different for me

Good Morning all keeping up my habit on Mondays and sharing some mono Images

Now I know I have said in the past how I edit photos can reflect my mood when I am in a good mode which I am glad to say I mostly am, I tend to do brighter edits, but if I have a lot on my mind I may do more dramatic edits.

But todays photos I can say although they may be dark and moody do not reflect my mood, as I am in a good positive mood today, but recently I saw a post where someone shared some Low Key or perhaps it was High contrast images, and I though to myself I must get some shots that perhaps would work well with this style of editing and so here they are.

Starting with this shot of Fort Rodman taken early one morning on a walk and with a low key edit and I am quite happy with how it came out to be it has a dramatic feel perhaps fitting for such a fort

Another spot I often walk down at the port and normally i would bring out the shadows more and make a brighter image but I do like how this one came out as well it perhaps fits with the hard working conditions for fisherman on these commercial fishing boats

A high Key edit of the Police boats at the port

Just curious for those who regular see my posts especially my mono ones, do you notice a difference in the style of these edits or am I just fooling myself

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

The chain of lights and their reflections in the water in the last picture are very interesting. Like a light track on an airport runway))

That's an interesting thing to note about creating a darker, moodier edit depending on your mood. I'm glad to hear these darker edits weren't because of a darker mood. I do quite like the port shots in particular. The near complete black in the background with the white and shades of gray are such a beautiful look! Wishing you a happy and fruitful new year!

I like the edits 👍 the fishing boats works really well. It really highlights the Highbank. The fort also works well the trees silhouetted in front of the fort look good.

It's always so weird how black and white makes me feel like I'm in the 1930's. Beautiful shots!
