Mono Mondays boats

Mono Mondays boats

Another Monday rolls around and hence for me another Mono post, and I do have plenty of cemetery photos that would work well in Mono, but I don't want to post them every week so thought I should mix it up.

When I have been o the Harbor walk trying to get shots of the Osprey, while I am waiting for it to fly off the nest, I get distracted noticing other things, including boats of all sizes and I had a few that I thought would work well in Mono so that's the theme for this post

This is a cruise ship not a big one like head to other places I guess but since I was able to read its name the American Constitution, I looked it up and seems it was most likely on a cruise they call the Cape Codder Cruise, with stops as shown

Destination
Day 1 Boston, MA
Day 2 GLOUCESTER, MA
Day 3 Plymouth, MA / Mass Maritime Academy
Day 4 Marthas Vineyard, MA
Day 5 Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
Day 6 New Bedford, MA
Day 7 Provincetown, MA
Day 8 Boston, MA

and a little bit about the ship
It has a capacity of 175 passengers, and features the latest in technology, modern design, and sophisticated decor. Apparently it has large well-appointed staterooms with private balconies, as well as a variety of spacious lounges.

Now that was something I didn't know that it made stops here

But as I said I see boats of all sizes, big and small, cruise ships, fishing boats and even a row boat

Now the settings I used for these photos may not have been the best for these type of photos, but as I said I was there to try and catch shots of the Osprey, and just diverted my attention from the nest for a quick shot and then turned back to the nest, and left the settings mostly to the ones I wanted if the Osprey took to flight.

Now I said its not a big Cruise ship, but I bet it feels pretty big to the fisherman in this boat as it sailed on by

A nice boat heading out, that's Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven in the background

and this is a shot from another day, well today actually, the skies were cloud free and the early morning sun was reflectiong on the water and giving a nice glistening look to the water

As as the Cruise ship heads through the gap between the hurricane barrier walks to head into port I will finish off this post

Interesting to learn smaller cruise ships run up the coast, not too large to feel like it's a floating city.

Glistening early morning sunshine off the water always makes for amazing lighting.

I would be keen to try a cruise on this one, not so big, but probably still somewhat crowded onboard, but its a Mute point my wife has a fear of going on ships after a bad experience when she was young, so thats somehting we wont do :)

Small group of people with large deck to enjoy, big cruise liners simply not my style!

Can it be possible that it looks more serene in the black and white?? That the light shining down softens the blow of the day?

I had no idea they used snall ships like to takeva cruise along the Cape for a week.im thinking that might ve kind of fun and cheaper than a hotel and dining.

Possibly.

Nice show off of mono. Good Monday morning!

Thanks for your visit, I had seen this ship before a big storm and I thought it was coming into shelter from the storm, but when I saw it a couple of times recently i looked it up and found about the cruise, I would love to do it myself, but I know there is no way I would talk LUlu into doing a cruise, so we will have to drive to visit these spots LOL, well not the islands of course.

Have a great week

I am not sure I would do one with that size ship, it is small enough to feel the waves. Saying that, now I will need to look it up out of curiosity.

You do find some pretty cool things to photograph, I have not been getting out enough. What is wrong with that?

Perhaps, in the end, Lulu is saner than the both of us put together, you know?? :) Ha! Thanks so much and I hope you have a great week too! It is going to be a hot one today, already over the limit on heat!

Probably 92-94 today. Trade you?

Summer colds ( or maybecseasonal allergies with all that blooms) are pretty miserable. Great day to find a good movie !

I hope you feel better soon.

Oh yes, compered to the fisherboat this ship looks huge, and to me it is huge anyway - these ships are amazing, just like little floating towns on the water.
I don't know if I would feel comfortable on it, even on a "small" ship like this one - too many people on a too small place. The ship is smaller than the village I have grown up, but there are more than 5 times more people on it 😅

Thats the issue I would probab;y have I dont llike feeling confined or to be in crowded spaces which I think would be the the case in a ship even one like that

Great captures of a very diversity of boats.
Even though the settings were not aimed for the boats but for the ospreys, you still captured them well 😎
Sounds like a great little cruise along Mass. 😁 with this boat. And the fisherman sure would think it would be big hehehe
The shot in the morning with the glistering of the water is stunning.
Have a great Monday further 👋🏻☀️

thanks so much

I think that cruise would be fun if the weather was good, being a smaller cruise ship I am sure it wouldnt be as stable as the huge cruise ships if the water was rough

enjoy the rest of your week

You are welcome @tattoodjay 😁
Hhmmm think you are right. Don’t like wobbly boats hahaha need to think of that in certain seasons.

Thanks so much, enjoy the rest of your week too 👋🏻😎

They literally have attempted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. Five years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism ..... https://ecency.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem if you run into one of them you may want to immediately shoot them in the face. 187, annihilate, asphyxiate, assassinate, behead, bleed, bludgeon, boil, bomb, bone, burn, bury, butcher, cap, casket, choke, chop, club, crucify, crush, curb, decapitate, decimate, deflesh, demolish, destroy, devein, disembowel, dismember, drown, electrocute, eliminate, end, euthanize, eviscerate, execute, explode, exterminate, extinguish, finish, fry, grind, guillotine, gut, hack, hang, hit, ice, implode, incinerate, kill, liquidate, lynch, massacre, maul, microwave, mutilate, neutralize, obliterate, off, pop, poison, punnish, quarter, ruin, shank, shock, shoot, shred, skin, slay, slaughter, smoke, smother, snipe, snuff, squish, stab, strangle, stone, suffocate, suicide, SWAT, swing, terminate, torture, terrorize, whack, waste, wreck.
