Mount Hope bridge

Mount Hope bridge

I had been checking out some new spots before Lulus Injury and trying to get some shots of some of the bridges in the area, and sharing today some shots of the Mount Hope Bridge in Rhode Island which runs from Bristol to Portsmouth

Lulu is still struggling but I am seeing signs of improvement, the pain is still there but for the most part I do no think it is an intense as it had been, so I take that as a good sign

As is the case most times I head out early and get to the spot I am going well before sunrise in this case wanting to catch the lights still on the bridge

The Mount Hope Bridge is a two-lane suspension bridge spanning the Mount Hope Bay in eastern Rhode Island at one of the narrowest gaps in Narragansett Bay. The bridge connects the Rhode Island towns of Portsmouth and Bristol and is part of Route 114, its total length is 6'129 Feet, Height 285 feet and was opened in October 1929
For this shot I was just on the side of a sign marking this little beach as Private Property, I did consider since I didnt see any lights on in the house by the beach to walk around the beach and get some shots from closer tot he bridge, but thought better of it

The spot I was at for this viewpoint in in Bristol Ri and is called the Bristol Ferry Town Common, it has a nice view of the bridge and a couple of benches if one wanted to sit relax and enjoy the view

Thats a good looking bridge. Same basic look as the Golden Gate bridge in SF. Good to see some posts from you 👍

Looks like a relaxing place to sit and have coffee :) ... I like the pictures you got, and the distance makes the cars seem really small.

Bridges are pretty awesome indeed! There are a couple around here that I enjoy riding my bike by. I once lived very near a bridge (not as exciting as the one in your photos here) that was right behind the community we lived in (it was the ghetto, really). My friends and I used to always enjoy hanging out beneath the bridge beside the river.

Arent they just

I did the same when I was young, riding our bikes to a spot under a bridge and hanging out doing crazy stuff

Here's where I would sit for hours with a thermos of leather and scribbling words on my cell phone sheets! 💪🔥🔥🔥

It sure is a place one could visit many times.

Yes, thank you. Still in between moves. And nothing is going fast. Now the possibility exist that the country of moving to could change. Company changes are happening. We will see in the next weeks where we end up now. 😉🤓 so extra exciting. Hahaha
You are welcome!

I have a thing for bridges as well, your photos are simply stunning @tattoodjay! How fascinating seeing the difference depending on the time of day.
It's been a long haul, glad to hear your wife is improving even though the going is slow, praying for continued healing Jay!

Thanks so much, the feel of a place can change so much depending on the time of day

Yes a low process for Lulu to heal, but I think/hope she is heading inthe right direction, have an appointment with the specialist in 3 weeks so will know more then

Beautiful bridge, it's amazing what humans can build. Am looking at that bench in the last picture and imagining myself sitting there, relaxing, just watching the traffic go by. The sunrise picture looking superb with the yellow hues amidst the blue sky. Thank you the update and still wishing Lulu the very best on the journey to recovery. Do enjoy the new week ahead :}

Woah!! The 1929 bridge is so old. I hope that I can at least visit the most longest bridge here in our country, we call it San Juanico Bridge but it is now known as Maharlika Highway. The images on your blog are so amazing!
