My First photo walk on 2021

My First photo walk on 2021

Yesterday I went for my first photowalk of the year, what with Winter and Lulus time in Hospital and recovering at home, I just didn't feel I could head out for photowalks.
Infact I have been out for hardly any walks for that matter, while Lulu was in hospital and since I couldnt go and visit her because of Covid.

I did do a few long walks around the hospital and a few times to and from the hospital and around the hospital, Which was a good walk as I think its close to 2 miles from home to the hospital, but i wasn't thinking about or looking how many steps I was doing back then.

Since she has been home I haven't been doing much walking at all, initially because she needed a lot of care, but of recent she is doing a lot better, and finally motivated myself yesterday to get out for a walk, not that long a one to be honest mayby only 5 thousand steps, and to be honest I did feel it in my legs when I got out for walk yesterday, but I need and plan to get out for more walks as its a healthy thing to do and I do enjoy walking with or without the camera.

Fortunately i had remembered a few days ago to charge the batteries for my camera, so I got a few shots I will now stop waffling and get onto the photos

MY walk was through a nearby Cemetery the Oak Grove Cemetery, and was nice to see some colors coming back to the trees and a few blossoms

Some trees are stil totally bare, some full with blossoms and some just starting like this next one

As I sad some were quite bare, such as this one which I felt worked well with a Mono edit

I used to mostly do # shots and different exposures often when out for walks, but for yesterdays walk and this mornings edit, I went with all single shots as I have been watching a few tutorials on Lightroom and photoshop and felt I was perhaps over doing HDR images and want to unless the range of light is more extreme amd see what I can get with single shots and I must admit I am happy for the most part with the shots I got ysterdya

And a last Mono shot to finish off with more my normal style of Black and white where I go for a slight blue tone to it.

Wonderful to see you out, armed with your camera even as you said only a short walk, steady does it finding your walking legs once again after tedious long months of stress and worry.

Excellent photography the trees lined down the path with quaint little building is the one I enjoy most (2nd), testing new ways with the camera is something I need to try more often in monochrome... always forget to set it up for purely a few shots!

Thanks
I realized I messed up my camera setting a bit on this walk but will remember on my next walk
Have a great day

Getting back to enjoying walks is the important factor.

Photography reflects fresh life in blooms, having 'dead center' of town right next door a lovely place for peace and quiet, old buildings add character.

I'm still learning, forgetting, then trying again, have a great day.

Your photographs are so beautiful, I want to take a photowalk myself.

Each photo has a different tone to it, love it.

I'm also guilty of overdoing the hdr, 😅. Working on that.

Great photos sire.

Well, if you asked me I would say go walking again and again and very soon you will be the old one again ... to be honest, I'd better say that to myself, because I am certainly in a much worse condition than you are 😁

It's great that you have gone for a walk, JJ, and that you show us the first blossoms of Spring which we have been waiting for so long 😃

Awesome photos! And the spring (life) is creating an antithesis with the cemetery (death), amazing.

This looks like it was a really nice walk. Our trees are similar. Somewhere in the middle of waiting for it to finally get warm and wanting so badly to sprout. The Dogwoods outside my office are finally blooming.

So good to see the great JJ photos again and it drags me back to the old "Singing with Light" days again.
Great shots and good that you are walking again. The pain in my legs have curtailed my walking and the doctors want to fuse my spine, but I have elected to rather work on my back muscles.
Fusing of the spine is not for me.

Blessings and our greetings to Lulu.
