Same tree different days

For this post I am going to share some shots of the tree near the Pier and the Cisco Brewery Bar on Rodney French Boulevard here in New Bedford and here it is

Now this post was inspired by a chat I had with a guy I often see there , he comes along and parks near this tree most mornings after stopping to grab a coffee and a donut, to enjoy the sunrise while his wife is still sleeping, and that's something we have in common, as that's when I get my morning walks in, get back home and have time to do some editing, preparing a post and commenting before my wife gets up

another shot on a another day

Now some have said to me do I get bored visiting the same spots once or sometimes twice a week ( I have about 5 spots I go to often for my morning walks) but this post is to show that my answer is a strong NO, as I hope these photos show each day mother nature treats us to something different and if you get there early like I do when its still dark, you never know what your going to see.

Sure I check three weather apps before I head out, checking the temperature, if rain is likely, and the cloud patterns, and that can give one an idea of what it may be like, but even then you never know, like this morning for example the temp and winds made me think it would feel cooler than it actually was and I had one layer on to many, also this morning the clouds according to the app, could have meant a really nice sunrise, but in actual fact it was quite moody and grey

which leads me to this next shot, not from today which I choose to edit in Mono

And let me finish off with another nice colorful morning

It is really amazing how the same place can change over time like that. Mother nature is the ultimate artist. I have a similar take on things. My walking route is never the same, especially in the area where I live in which the weather can change four times a day! Awesome photographs.

First thing I would suggest is to focus on composition
One thing you could look up is the rule of thirds I am sure you can find sites that explain it better than I can

Yeah, I really need to start doing some mono edits I think. I like that you chose to do the same tree from a bunch of different angles that is really cool. I always love your edits too. Great stuff!

I can honestly say that I don't get tired I've seen the same spot because, like you, there are so many different ways to seeing the same thing it becomes a different subject altogether. Look at your first shot and it reeks Tropical Paradise to me in some ways, with the beach laying down in front of it. It has a warm feel to it and all of its beautiful color.

The second shot is absolutely glorious, anchoring the beautiful sunrise. It looks like a totally different place, as I can see in the very glow of morning some buildings on the outskirts of the tree. The next one has such intensity that it can't possibly be the same, although it is and I actually like the mono quite a bit. Very subtle oh, but I really like it.

Have funny to meet a guy at the same tree doing basically the same thing. I guess that tree has a real pull. Such beauty that you shared with me today and I thank you for it.

I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!

Thanks for such and kind an insightful comment, i was going to wait till I had a shot of this tree in winter, but decided to go with it now, maybe another post with other shots of it

I think another go at this would be awesome. Like I've said, I don't think that anybody sees it's the same subject but rather a subject of a different color, dressed completely different, giving us a new look. It will be interesting to visit again in the winter. Today is another summer day, I am wondering where Autumn is.

I like such shots of the same spot at different times, days or even seasons.

My answer is also a No, I don't get bored of your revisits of the same spot and today I don't even have a favourite photo - I like them all, this tree looks really nice ... well, if I had to choose I would probably take the mono 😀

One tree different lighting, each a story with clouds and texture painted across the sky.

Have a great day JJ, I am always picking up hints from well established photographers like yourself.

it's a nice idea to catch the same place at different time of a day or night and see how it's changing according to the changes of light and time. I had this idea too early, and now looking at your pics I had it again;) but you're a better photographer than me:))

Could you at least add some more content to these posts knowing the autovotes you're getting? It's getting a bit old me having to downvote these from the same voters constantly.

I do understand what your saying but I need to make a couple of points

My photos are not quick snaps with my phone they are shots I have taken with my Sony camera on almost daily walks around the area
I then spend quite a bit of time choosing which photos to edit and editing them at a minimum 10 minutes per photo

And I generally do add my thoughts about the area and the photos

I also spend a lot of time visiting and commenting on posts as well as replying to comments which perhaps is a factor why some may have me on auto vote.

I feel the votes on my posts are related to the time I have put into the community interacting with people and also to in part people enjoying the quality of the photos I share.

I thought the downvotes you are giving my posts were related to upvotes from a couple of the big accounts of one person you were not happy with their voting practices on trending posts

But from this comment of yours it appears it is more related you feel my posts are not worthy of people voting on which of course your entitled to feel

I do fully agree with the concept of downvotes to penalize plagiarism and spam

but I feel now in this case it’s more you feeling you know what a post is worth and over riding votes of others which of course is your right to do and I respect that

Thanks for your feedback and have a good day

It's about fair rewards, there are plenty of other people putting in the same amount of activity and even more onto their posts and they're not getting the same rewards. It would go a long way if you realized that and forfeited part of the rewards to something beneficial to a community or something, but since you're not and since each time I've downvoted you've either asked me or others why I can't but feel you're just attempting to maximize it at any cost.

I can't even open your photos in a good resolution, I tried both on peakd and hive.blog. Are you uploading them as jpg or something?

Take a look at this post for instance, now of course I'm a bit biased cause I know her well and everything she does to bring value to Hive, aside from being active and engaging on Hive: https://peakd.com/hive-127788/@traciyork/fall-foliage-and-a-haunted-leaf-for-parul2411s-thursdaytreelove

She's not even posting for that daily guaranteed vote.

Why does that post not deserve the same if not more rewards than this? Or would you agree that it would be fair to pull down the rewards on yours a bit to match the others, considering literally all your posts get voted by one of the biggest abusers in the history of this chain.

You're being overrewarded in my opinion, simple as that. With Hive going up more and more we will start to notice more posts getting above that threshold and downvotes will be a perfect solution to it.

That's cool, i have a tree like this to. I try to take pictures of it at different times of the year and weather conditions.

Everyday, your posts bring peace @tattoodjay
There are so many people who will NEVER get to see the things that you bring to this platform. and you do it so faithfully. so peacefully. so gently. so kindly.

You encourage everyone and you build people up!

Your mannerisms are so humble - that you make it an honor and joy and pleasure to come visit your posts! While I've been gone - i've actually MISSED your sunrise pictures - and if you remember... hahahaha when i was at my sickest - I actually asked you to DM me one to lift my spirits!!! and.... you did.

because that's the kind of person that you are!!! I am so blessed to have you as a friend, and even more blessed that your posts are here on Hive!

I see you get downvotes all the time - and you don't make a ruckus or cause a war - or anything. You just quietly continue your way. which is just the BEST way!!! because you bring joy, my friend. You don't speak a whole lot - and that is part of your extraordinary charm. You let your photos speak your heart for you - and oh my goodness - do they ever speak that heart!!!

And some people just don't get that. and THAT IS OK.

We all have votes here - and if some whale wants to bless your post - because HE OR SHE gets it.... THEN that is super cool!

and if some whales don't understand the value that you bring to this platform? and they don't understand the enormous amount of time that you put into your posts - that you are a PHOTOGRAPHER, in a photography community. not a WRITER that fills a post with words, but a photographer - that adds BEAUTY AND ART in a DIFFERENT WAY than writers do... if they don't see that you're more than that even... that you're an encourager - and a positive community leader - that you're inclusive and that you knit people together in the ways that matter.... if they can't see that? and they want to take away some of your support because it's all about the rewards and plusses and minuses to them....

THAT IS ALSO OK.

because that's what we all have here. upvotes and downvotes to use as we see fit. that is the mechanism of Hive.

and ultimately - it's everyone's choice to either support or downvote posts/communities/leaders in the bigger vision, and with long-term perspectives, as THEY SEE FIT.

But don't - please please do NOT - let anyone change you because of an upvote or a downvote.

Please don't do it!!! You are so much bigger than all of that. and the ones that love you all see it.

You just continue to be you - share what YOU share to add to our platform, and let the upvotes and downvotes fall where they may.

Please just keep being you. We need you just the way you are. ❤️

Thanks such a kind comment I needed to see right now
The downvotes mostly don’t get me it’s all part of the platform

And I will keep on keeping on don’t worry

Thanks again and have a good evening

I agree, and I regret asking him to change the lengths of the post (as it seems that gave him some ammo that isn't really there), it's mostly the voters I disagree with or going on and accepting all of the rewards that continuously are generated. We all know by now rancho's voting isn't well thought-out (here take a look: https://hiveblocks.com/@ranchorelaxo most votes cast within a block (3 seconds) from each other) nor the person in charge of them cares about the platform so I wouldn't agree on the part of "some whale getting you and your posts", all he does is vote whatever's trending. He's also done it on posts I've voted up often and have adjusted the votes after accordingly to match the value I believe they should be, if others disagree with me they can vote more after the downvotes or do as I do.

Your post is usually a nice meal for the eye. I just fed my eyes again with these beautiful shots.

Nature can't bore. It's the best company one can wish for.

The sensation it brings is always different.

Depending on the time of the day, it's view offers different shade of magnificence.

Thankful to @dreemport for bringing me here.

I guess I've found my opposite on this one, I get tired of places I frequent a lot but yours is different though... Maybe I won't be tired of seeing such tree 😃

Those different pictures made it seem really different like it's a different tree entirely but they are same trees.. Really cool.

Lovely pictures as always Jay 🙂

I fully agree with you. Nothing boring in visiting the same spots if you can take photos and get a completely new image every time.

As your photos clearly show...the same tree, completely different images, different atmosphere, and different feeling.

I also love how you use your editing to create a completely different atmosphere.
