Some art near Wings Court

Some art near Wings Court

ON Wednesday I showed some art in progress at Wings Court, which is a small park here in New Bedford that has a few area open for local artists to paint and display their craft.

the Site is managed by a group called 3rd Eye I believe and artists apply to be given a spot for a certain period of time as I understand it.

I like cities that welcome and give space for local artists and going to see what new art is there.

I am not such a big fan of tagging on buildings without permission I do see that as a form of vandalism.

at the edge of the entrance to Wings court is a fence, which has a few spots for art, and that where most of these pieces or art where.

Starting with these two pieces, especially the whale I think that has a cool style

and kind of matches up with the mermaid and nautical scene beside it, I don't know if both those pieces were by the same artist or not, what I haven't been able to find online is anywhere that shows whose work is on display I wish they would do that.

Another whale in the background in this next portion of the fence a cool scene with birds and such by the water.

and isn't that hummingbird so cool

I loved all these pieces I thought they had such cool style and were lovely and vibrant.

Behind the fence was this piece which I think was there last time I checked it out but not sure I got a photo of it

And this was down the road a bit not part of wings court but I thought it was cool, and great that there are efforts to combat climate change

I admired the beauty of the whale painting, the first time I saw it, it was like a tree with branches, apparently it was a fish, my eyes were really getting sleepy hehe

Street art really is a fascinating form of art. Obviously it's so much nicer when it's not just crude line drawings hastily spray painted before being caught. We have a few outdoor walls here, too, that are also used for the same purpose. I agree, I think it's very constructive.

Yes I see a big difference between art and tagging

Those are great, I'm surprised that the artists didn't sign their names.

Yes, they are wonderful! Tagging is street art too in a sense, but disorganized. And sometimes placed on top of each other, and others are plain vandalism. These are works of street art and they are cool, lovely, and vibrant.
Hello @tattoodjay ! I hope your Saturday is fantastic!

Wow!! IT’s very beautiful! It’s very nice when you are taking a walk and you find these kind of masterpieces!! I agree with you, it’s a pitty that the author is not there. I love the picture with the frog!! Very colorful and joyful!!

That first whale is my fave of this lot - it's really cool! I !LUV how it looks collaged together from various oceanic-related pieces of scenery... and that tale is spectacular!!! Looks like a wonderful art experience, JJ :-) !ALIVE

Great finds, the frog is really cool.
I like StreetArt, especially when it is done with permission. The works are so much better than just the random tags.
Have a wonderful evening and enjoy your Sunday @tattoodjay 👋🏻😊
