Some Shots taken at Photoplus Expo

Some Shots taken at Photoplus Expo

I visited PhotoPlus Expo in the Javits Center in NYC recently and checked out many of the booths, it was good to see but seemed less than previous years I have been there, A few of the vendors had presentations from photographers and some included talking about their lighting equipment and such, and a few had ladies there where many were taken shots, it was pretty crowded and people photography is not something I do but I snapped a few shots which I will share in this post.,

But do not expect too much as I say this is not something I do

This first lady I share a shot of, had some interesting makeup on, I took a few shots but many had someone head in the way as they moved as I was about to take the shot through the crowd, but I have a couple of here to share including this one

One thing I learned from this is I am perhaps to considerate of others, I tried to make sure I did not get in the way of anyone else trying to take photos, but clearly most others didn't worry about that at all, not worried in the least about moving in front of someone else taking photos and pushing their way to get to the spot they felt they deserved to be in to take photos.

OK thats my little rant over a couple of more shots I took, back tot he colorfully made-up lady

Don't expect more of this type of photos from me, it really is something I do not have experience in and probably never will

And that’s all folks

Holy wowsers! Your photographs are incredible, Jay! The colors in first image are electrifying @tattoodjay
The young lady in the second image is my personal choice for overall favorite photo --a very crisp photograph. I don't care for the model's lipstick, hairstyle or hairnet in the last photo (I know, I know...be nice!)

hahaha yeah, I can relate about that people who doesn't care if they're blocking the photographer. I experienced that a lot and instead they will be the one feel embarrassed about it. It's me because they never cared, but it's fine brother you still have a pretty images as always.

That is pretty cool that they have models there so you can take photos with the different backdrops and lighting. My dad used to go to model shoots quite a bit, but then he started focusing more on nature photography and stopped going to them.

You sound like me, trying to be considerate to others and then being the one who doesn't get the shot. Very nice shots though. I never would have guessed that you didn't have all the time in the world.

Yeah I guess to get the greta shots in situations like this you have to be pushy and thats something I don't think I will ever be,, thats why I love land and seascapes :)

Wow that first lady was very colorful. I wonder how long it took to do her makeup and hair. It was very intriguing to look at though.

I can just imagine how rude some of the photographers must have been. It seems in events like these where everyone wants a shot integrity goes out the window.

Thanks for sharing, the shots you took were really nice and vibrant!

These are very cool shots and the colors are great, JJ.
You have just told some reasons, why I prefer to photograph somewhere where no people are around, or before they arrive 😊

Thanks :) I was semi happy with how they came out, and yes it did remind me why I like my early morning walks with less people around :)

Thanks for the trendo and !BEER

You're welcome 🙂
The photos are great, maybe also because of the beautiful girls 😉 and the colors are amazing.

Oohhhhh, you're getting to be quite the people photographer...
I think they are great! :D The shots of the colourfully made up lady is so cool... as is the background colour! You're right about the consideration - I am conscious about being in the way too, and others don't seem to be... lol... Oh well...

Hi. Very good observation, lack of empathy, I admire the very colorful photo.

I'd love to see one of those photography conventions. It looks like they had some interesting subjects for you to take photos of, anyway. I took portraits for a couple years and almost never take them now.

Inconsiderate people seem to be everywhere, unfortunately. I had a lady pull up and stop right between me and the bison the other day. Just parked her huge van right in front of me. Ugh. Fortunately, the inconsiderate ones are the exception.

Ohh yeah it is a cool experience to visit, apart from two weddings for family I seldom ever shoot people its just not my thing, but it was fun to try

I get it and that was kind of an accidental model shoot wasn't it? I mean you didn't expect them at that show did you? I imagine a pleasant surprise though.

Very good JJ, photographers are always studying to improve themselves, I've noticed.

I think if i ever got to the stage I felt I could not improve I would loose the passion for it
