Spring in Buttonwood Park

Spring in Buttonwood Park

I have got out for plenty of walks over the last few days so much so I have plenty of new photos but haven't had a lot of time for editing, so I am going to share some shots I took on a walk around Buttonwood Park recently, which I have put of sharing as I am not that happy with the images.

This was a walk around the park, well a couple of visits there on the same day one as the sun was rising and then after running some errands a second walk there enjoying seeing the signs of spring.

Starting with this shot looking over the pond at the Warming house and great to see new growth and fresh greens on the tree on the little island

Funny thing is I have done posts like todays when I share shots I am not so happy with and sometimes people seem to like the images more than the ones I think are great, so that's either I am too critical of myself, of everyone's taste is different

Some blossoms on a tree

Another shot of the tree on the island, I do love this tree, it looks a small rocky island and yet the tree seems to do so well on there shows the power of nature, well power and resilience I guess

in one part of the park there were so many daffodils growing on the edge of a field, I must say the group Friends of Brooklawn Park do a great job of looking after the park.

and then walking by the same trees full of blossoms

this tree when bare looks so disheveled, one wonders if it will recover again but as you can see it has plenty of blossoms and new growth

And that’s all folks

The little island is my favourite today, followed closely by the blossoms in the second image 😊

Yes, the Spring is here and everything's getting green. It looks so great when the brown grass turns green again.

My pleasure, JJ 😊
The bright green tree looks great in front of the darker background.
The closer shots with the longer lens will certainly look great, I believe.

To be honest I haven’t even looked at the new shots I only remembered I had taken them when I mentioned them earlier

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

You're better than me, because sometimes I don't even remember some shots I have taken, and when after a while I look through my Lightroom library I am often surprised - sometimes positively 😁 !LOLZ

I think you are definitely too critical of yourself. Those first two photos are really awesome. I am looking forward to getting out on some walks soon myself. It sounds like my wife and I are pretty booked this week though. I think it is supposed to hit the mid 80's by the end of the week.

Thanks for saying that :)
Good luck on getting out for walks, looks like warming up here as well, later this week we hit the 70s which I am happy with

Last few days it has been so windy has stopped me getting out for walks but from tomorrow it looks a lot better

That’s great to hear you got out again for new walks @tattoodjay 😎
Looking forward to them.

Yes, isn’t it funny that, that can happen. Things we don’t think are good others do think they are good. We can be our worst enemy. To critical sometimes. Your photographs are stunning!

Love the green tree on that tiny tiny island. Looks like it has enough food to survive well. 😊👋🏻

I have an early Drs tomorrow but I may well go for a walk after that

She was given muscle relaxers that are helping a little and starts physical therapy soon but was told it may take a few months to loosen up and the pain ease

All the photos are beautiful, the place is beautiful. The first photo shocked me, what a beautiful and impressive spectacle to see how the trees and vegetation are reflected in the lake

Nice pics tattoodjay. I like the yellows in the first shot and the vibrant green of the willow tree. Different colors for you. Most of your shots tend towards warmer colors. I like the flowering tree at the end. I have lots of flowering trees that are in their first year and won't flower much. This tree is obviously quite mature yet still lots of new growth.

Thanks for your visit
I try to mix it up now and again but your right I do tend to love warmer colors

I would say these trees are pretty mature

The last is my favourite, but they're all good of course.

I like the way the blossoms cause the tree, which looks so haphazard and disorganised, look like a lovely garden of flowers in and of itself. The chaos of the messy, uneven ground, leaves, bracken and moss on the branches are counterbalanced by the new growth and blossoms.
