Street art

Street art

Good morning everyone, I hope your week is going well.
Recently I took a walk downtown and spotted a couple of piece of art that I don't think I have shared before, not sure I had seen them before but I could be wrong.

This one was one a wall near to the side entrance to a cafe and caught my eye

When I see art like this I get intrigued sometimes by the artists vision and what he or she is trying to say with their piece of art.

And this is one that really got me thinking the Skull, a wine glass, Wings and a microphone, I am sure there could be a great story behind it.

What do you get out of that one?

this one just made me smile, I thought it was fun, a lego super hero complete with a grimace on his face.

Not sure what the letters PFT mean, but the MBNA between the 20 and 22, are something i see a lot here, on walls, and caps T-shirts and Hoodies its for New Bedford MA

And further into wings Court, I saw this Mural which was new, well not sure it Mural is the right word, and I wonder for the faced on the right is that how the artist intended it or has someone painted over it?

You may have seen in a post I did a few weeks ago I saw an artist painting in this area, here is another shot from that day of the artist at work

NOw I think the work he did was up for a while and painted over by the next artist, as I do not see this piece he is working on being like the one above, but again just my thoughts i could well be wrong

And a shot from way way back in NYC a cool mural on a store front.

I wonder if the cafe that has the first art has karaoke ? I wonder if what's inside the glass has to do with spirits.... as in alcoholic drinks? That was the best I could do.....

My husband had an artist friend many years back. He would sometimes give us a print of some of his work. I remember there was a big one where it was a man's head (somewhat) with many colored wires hooked into his face. I remember my husband asked him what his thoughts were behind it, what he was trying to convey and the artist said there was no meaning. LOL !!! So does every piece have one? Maybe not or maybe they don't always share where they were coming from.

I wondered if the PFT had something somewhat related to an NFT, only on a wall. I made that up, but....

I love seeing street art.

Your ideas make a lot of sense, I will have to swing by there againa nd check if they do karaoke there

a good point maybe every piece does not have a meaning the artist is just going with the flow

Espectaculares obras y siii, generalmente pienso lo mismo, cual será el mensaje que quiso comunicar el artista, sin duda es algo increíble poder transmitir un pensamiento o sentimiento a través de la pintura

That first one is pretty awesome. I like all the bright colors. My wife would love the last one. She is very fond of that motif. Very cool stuff. It's awesome that you have been able to find graffiti art event though you aren't in the big city like you used to be!

It seems like they are a bit more responsible about it there than they are in the big city. Like they are commissioned or approved or whatever.

Yes and No the big murals in NYC are pretty amazing and approved, but there are still areas they get hit hard with tagging and unapproved graffiti

The first photo looks like "Plants vs Zombie" or could be like a plant is happy to hear music or it has music of its own. The artist/s of these must be very creative and playful on my point of view. Nice!😍 Have a nice day!

If there is one thing that I am aware of about arts, it is the fact that sometimes artworks have much deeper meanings beyond what our eyes can see. Like you, there are moments of staring at one particular art, mesmerized and amazed by the piece, but with no idea of the message it portrays. But all these are great!
