Sublime and Beautiful Sunday A foggy morning walk

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

And these shots I hinted at in my Wednesday week post, one New Years day I headed out early down to the port as the weather app was saying a heavy fog, and I have been meaning to head to the port on such a day, I got a really nice walk in and got plenty of shots with the fog.

Now foggy mornings I kind of find give a mystical magical feel, and I think they could also be described by some as sublime and beautiful and hence this post.

Starting with perhaps my favorite of these shots looking across the water towards the hurricane barrier wall and the Palmers Island Lighthouse, palmers island is hidden for the most part by the barge but I like how the lighthouse seems to be floating in the fog

Next up earlier in that mornings walk at the end of one of the piers looking across the water towards Fairhaven

Standing on the dock beside the boat Flavian S, with other commercial fishing boats fading into the fog

This is standing behind the terminal for the Seastreak ferry, looking towards the swing truss bridge, which is barely visible the main things that stand out in the fog are the lights

Now later in the walk again about the time of the first shot I shared the fog had eased a little and you could make out some of the boats on the Fairhaven side, and a misty feel over the water.
The funny thing is the fogged eased briefly then and then moved back in a little later most of the day the view was very foggy

Photograph with lighthouse and barge a lovely gentle switch from sea to sky anchored slight change.

Glad you got to go out, mist is most enjoyable to walk in, we enjoyed a beach walk with drops of rain not raining 😌

This was a recent walk before this cold spell, I ran out to the Pharmacy this morning and its bitterly cold out about -18C, any thoughts of a photo walk went out the window LOL

Here is hoping.... Although fog through the neighbourhood should look good too! Open a window click a few then close to see what you captured, I could never wait that long to test drive a new camera.

Even though it's foggy but those photos are stunning @tattoodjay
The water is just like a miracle mirror reflecting two different worlds. This is one of my favorite photography styles too.

Ohh NO were having an evil cold spell this morning it was about 3F -18C, I drove by the beach and saw the sunrise but stayed in the car

Wow! I love this kind of landscapes! I've been in the seaside to yesterday and I took some photos.
It was a very clear and sunny day, it made me want to drop in the water 😍

Sure looks like a beautiful day with that photo, I drove by the beach this morning was a nice sunrise, but at about -18 C was to cold for me when I got out of the car so no photos just enjoyed the view in my warm car

You know I love fog and so I love all your photos, but I agree with you, the first photo is my absolute favourite today. The soft pastel like colours and the minimalist look is stunning beautiful 🤩

Thanks MY friend, that first photo just called out to me I loved that view and the feel the lighthouse was floating

Planning a nice quiet day at home staying warm, the kids and wife want to take me out for lunch, but I would rather stay in and relax today

Here it's also cold and I'm having a lazy afternoon at home. In the morning I was photographing some snowy buildings for the Season Hunt :)

Lunch with wife and kids sounds great to me and a relaxing afternoon after a good meal as well 😊

its cold here today real cold I went out to the pharmacy and Brrrr it was like 4F no photo walk today I usually make a point of getting a photo walk in this day each year, but no way this year

Nice pictures. Kind of reminds me of the ports when I traveled to Brunswick and South Hampton. I was working onboard a ship for a while, and seeing pictures like these surely brings back some memories. Thanks for sharing!

I do love all the different shades of blue in the first photo. It is always amazing to me how fog transforms an area. I have been driving on a familiar street before when the fog has crept in. The only way I knew where to go was because of how familiar it was to me. It just changes everything.
