Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Birds

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday Birds

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Good Morning everyone I hope your weekend is going well, I'm having a nice and quiet one relaxing at home

Before last year I used to always say I had no luck getting photos of birds, but last year I either got luck or had more patience which may well be the real factor that changed.

I am a fairly hyper person and when out on photo walks I was always moving which is not the best way to get photos of birds, often the key is to go somewhere where you hope to see some birds and then stand still and wait patiently for them to come into range, which is something I worked on last year and I ended up getting many bird shots I was happy with,

Starting with this shot of a seagull flying by with a shell in its beak

I have the photo above as one of the screensavers on my Surface tablet and I only today realized I had never shared it so starting the post with it.

Next up is this little bird sitting on top of a birdhouse in the Allens Pond preserve

While walking on of the trails in the area I saw a few herons at one edge of the pond behind some greenery and not clear, now in the past I would have said ohh well and moved on, but this time i waited patiently hoping one would come out into a clear view and it paid off with this shot

this Egret I saw on the harbor walk and caught it as it took off to fly away

And off course you may have seen I spent a lot of time watching and taking photos of the Osprey here, and looking forward to trying to get more shots of them this year

Nice catch for the seagull and you.
I missed my surface tablet that I bought a few years ago which died after slight more than a year.
Now, I ban myself from getting another one that Microsoft thing.

Bird photography exceptional again.

In flight always busy during day light leaving the imagination to the night birds we seldom see or photograph.

!LUV & Happy Easter Weekend.

Wow! Now what is this? I was diagnosed recently with internal bleeding, so I had a both the gastroscopy and the colonoscopy. No cause of the inner bleeding was found.
The Dr was worried about my critical iron level, 2.8 count. Now I am waiting to be admitted for some pill with a camera inside that I will have to swallow.
What is you iron level count now JJ?

If you don't know, then please go for an iron level test soonest.

(Edited)

I did the blood test today my iron is 23 so low but not to bad
My white cell count high and red count a little low

Will see what dr says when calls either this evening if he sees the results and is concerned if not on Thursday I have a follow up

You are in our prayers JJ, and I hope that nothing serious will be found.
Glad that your iron level is not so bad and maybe it was just the camera that disturbed some sensitive spots in your colon. All of the best and strength to you.

!PIZZA and !LUV for your lady.

The dr thinks one of the polyps he removed may have opened up and caused the bleeding
Good think is I had a semi normal motion with no sign of bleeding today so hopefully on the road to bouncing back

Ah! Good news as it seems that the cut of the removed polyp will seal itself.
So all will be well again and at our age we have keep an eye on all of the new things that happen to our bodies. It is tough growing old my friend.

Ohh yeah I dont know why they call these years our golden years LOL

Blame a guy called Del Webb for coining the term "golden years" in 1959, as he was selling retirement living estates. Obviously it was all a bunch of marketing and the guy didn't know what he was talking about. I wonder who coined the term in the "winter of our lives", but I am sure to find out, as that is a bit more correct !LOLZ

Have a great Sunday relaxing at home. You deserve one 😉 That seagull shot is awesome. The birdhouse shot reminds me I need to clean up and repair my birdhouses before the birds get going on nests this season.

THanks I did indeed have a nice quiet day, I have given up on birdfeeders here as the squirrels tear them apart

Incredible photos, the first one is very well done. I am impressed by how you managed to capture it at the right moment.
I share your point that in order to achieve great things and accomplish our goals it is essential to change ourselves, it is fundamental.
I congratulate you for your achievements.
Best regards.

The osprey and the first one are my favorites :) ... How long has it been since you've been to see the osprey nest?
