Sublime and Beautiful Sunday for the birds

Sublime and Beautiful Sunday

Good Morning I hpe your weekendis going well
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

For this week I decided to share a few shots of birds I have got on various walks

Now i do have a big lens a sony 200-600 lens that I take out when I specifically am heading out somewhere hoping to get some photos of birds, but it is big and heavy so I do not always take it out with me, but I do have a lighter and more versatile lens with a Tamron 50-400MM lens which I often have in my bag with my 17-28 and 28-75mm Tamron lens when I go out for most of my walks

the 17-28 1nd 28-75 I use often for my sunrise and early morning shots at te port or on beaches here, but the 50-400 comes in handy if out on a walk and I need more of a zoom say to catch photos of birds and was used for all the photos in this post

Starting with this Comorant, drying out his wings on a rock on one of the beaches here

And her eis a comorant out in the water looking for some fish, when they dive under the water they can stay under for quite a while and often pop up a good distance from where they dived

Now a bird I love seeign but do not have a lot of luck catching photos of is the Cardinal I often see them but to far away to get a good shot and even though I try to sneakup closer to get photos I swear they sense me coming and fly away

But I did catch this shot of one on Palmers Island one day

All the photos are good, but I would highlight the fourth one in particular. The outline of the white wings on a blurred background looks perfect.

Awesome shots man! I need to get a 50-400, I want to have the versatility to take long shots like that. The 24-105 (I think) that we’ve got now is awesome but can’t get in really tight on some of those more distant ones.

Love the picture of the cardinal of them all!

I do find the 50-400 such a handy lens to have with me well worth it :)

Great shots, all beautiful birds! I've always loved cardinals, just such a pretty red color. Nice shot on the ibis as well. I do understand not wanting to carry around a heavy lens while out walking. I only bring my phone out anymore, but digital zoom just isn't nearly as good as the real thing!

In the first photo, the bird is like a monument ;)

Different pose with each individual, Cardinal not a bird we see at all with majestic red feathers!

Ibis is a Great Egret with yellow bill and black legs neatly taking off, excellent capture!

Happy Sunday !LUV

Hey! Very nice captures. I love the photo of the heron flying.

Those glasses are amazing for photographing birds. They won't notice your presence. Awesome.

The young ones should grow up fast enough with the food they are getting.
