Sunrise at Fort Phoenix

Sunrise at Fort Phoenix

I have mentioned that I have been suffering with allergies of recent and that has slowed me down getting out for as many walks as I would like to, but one good thing about it, it has given me more time to look through photos I have taken and edit a few from a little while back, including this set from a sunrise walk at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven MA
The Hurricane Barrier wall that I have shared many shots of or from standing on in New Bedford joins up with a barrier wall in Fairhaven, with a hmm what do you call it gateway I guess that joins the two and opens to let boats pass out to the ocean, but closes if a storm is coming in to protect the harbor and city, and let me start this post looking along the wall, you can see the concrete walls of the gateway for the boats to pass in the middle of this shot, it was a beautiful sunrise as you will see, but starting with this shot of the morning blues looking this way

now onto the sunrise which was so beautiful that morning, this shot is taken from a spot where they have some cannons still standing from when it was a working defensive port

you can tell this was a little while ago with the bare tree, these were actually taken back in March, but I do love the silhouettes of bare trees at sunrise I must admit

And looking over the beach at Fort Phoenix, I was just there the other day, I thought a walk on a beach would be good for me and I must admit I did feel less congested while walking there

How are you dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
I am very sorry that the allergy persists and is bothering you to the point of not being able to go for a walk
What an enchanted place, I love the bare tree and those beautiful benches, I would spend hours watching the sun rise
Beautiful shots, I appreciate that you taught us

Wow… that bare tree and its silhouette frames the shot perfectly… the bend, everything. Love that photograph.
The colours of this sunrise are mesmerising. The orange in it too. So beautiful.
Very interesting to see the barrier. It must be so large… one only know when being there.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photographs with us @tattoodjay

Yes, the allergies did give you something back, time to edit more photos from before. 🤓
Have a wonderful day today 👋🏻☀️

My wife's allergies have been pretty horrible this season too. Beautiful shots! As always, you captured this area wonderfully! I'm working on posting my own for post right now. I can't seem to get it to publish for some reason...

Sorry to hear your wife has been hit by allergies lucky mine seem to have settled down

I have seen a few having issues with preparing posts this morning

I thought mine was a node issue, but restarting my browser seemed to fix it. It was a last resort thing though since I had like 20 tabs open!

This entire post takes my breath away! I wasn't ready for this! I can scroll and scroll and each one is a work of art, to be honest. The colors warm my soul, but the picture I love best (which really is hard to choose!) would be the one with the tree.

An artistic bend to the beauty!
