the land of the rising sun

The land of the rising sun

First off let me apologize to anyone who opened this post thinking i had made a trip to and was sharinn photos in Japan, which the title land of the rising sun could make people think that I know, but this post is in fact shots of the rising sun here in and around New Bedford MA

Now I am well travelled have been to over 65 countries, but never madeit to Japan, I would love to visit it sometime, its always bene onmy wish list to see, but the thought of the crazy big cities honestly does not appeal to me as I hate crowds, but to explore some of the not so big and busy places I would love to one day do

But enough talk about Japan as this post is about the rising sun lOL

Starting with a shot by the pier

Now those that follow me will know I often head out for early morning walks and catch the sunrise, but I mostly stop taking photos just as the sun rises, for two reasons one being I may want to focus on walking for a bit and get my steps in for the day, and secondly, often to catch photos of the sun just after it rises is a challenge to do, I do have Neutral Density filters that would be good in the situation of a bright sun rising, but mor eoften than not they are not in my camera bag but in the trunk of my car and for lack of a better excuse I am to lazy to get them out of the car, but occassionally I do catch the rising sun and hence this post

This next shot ona little pier/park beside East Beach

All great shots JJ. For some reason I really like the one with the volleyball net.

As far as visiting Japan, I highly recommend Okinawa.

Fantastic shots as always. You know I think a lot of people focus on how pretty the sunset can be and they forget just how amazing sunrises are as well. Working on the sunrise side of our state, we get to see some pretty fantastic ones driving in to work. The cool thing is, in Michigan, you can easily drive across the state and catch the sunset over the water too.

Good morning dear friend @tattoodjay how are you?
I didn't know that you had traveled so much, it's good that you have the pleasure of knowing 65 countries, my congratulations, I hope that at some point you can visit Japan, a destination that many of us would like to know

The gradient of the sky in that second shot is simply amazing! I'd also love to visit Japan some day. I'd particularly love to visit Kyoto and Kanazawa. The slow, more traditional villages/towns are much more my style than something like Shibuya.

Your Rising Sun photos are fabulous. I have only been to a few countries, and Japan was one of them. I too, do not like big cities and really enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside and meeting the locals. It is beautiful in so many ways.

First off let me apologize to anyone who opened this post thinking i had made a trip to and was sharing photos in Japan

That would be nice :))
65 countries is not bad though, it's very impressive!

I would like to go to Japan one day, mostly visit the villages and the countryside, I think I would get a small (or big) panic attack in Tokyo now. When I was a student I wanted to live in Tokyo, I was a different person - I had even applied for a job :)

The photos are beautiful as always!

Those are great shots! Gorgeous... I'm pretty well travelled too, and ironically Japan is one of those place on the list I've never made it. Maybe we'll both get the chance eventually!

How are you doing today?

Maybe we will,
and today is a good day, I was battlign what I thought was sinuse problems but the night before last a tooth let me know it wasnt sinuses, yesterday saw a dentist who confirmed that and sentme to an orthodontists, who did his thing and cleare dout someof the infection, now on antibiotics and next tuesday he will finish the root canal
but thankfully this mornings its not so painful

I hope allis well with you

I'm glad to hear they got you on the mend! Upper teeth are kind of weird I've notice, I had one completely fall apart with not pain. Turned out in had a large cavity and I skipped a dentist appointment. oops... Maybe I'm getting old!

Getting that infection under control will definitely make you feel better, hopefully the root canal will be a breeze. Only bad thing about dental care is it's so expensive, even with insurance!

Ohh yeah I have good insurance as far as medical goes and fairly good for dental but still costs so much

Glad to be feeling a bit better not looking forwar to the root canal but it needs to be done

If you have a good endodontist in should be a breeze. My last root canal didn't hurt a bit!

its a new on i had bene slack finding a dentist here till now, the one I went to was good as was the orthodontist who cleared out someof the gunk last tuesday

its not so much the pain as I have a fairly high threshold for pain, just the process more freaks me out, but this last time I closed my eyes and tried to imagine myself away to a walk on the beach and that helped as weird as it sounds
