Thursday - fall colors at the Acushnet Sawmill
Fall colors at the Acushnet Sawmill
I have been trying to get out and catch some of the fall colors this year, after the last couple of years where i had no luck doing so, and have had more success this year.
Today I will share a few photos of a visit to the Acushnet Sawmill, a lovely little reserve inthe area.
It's one I used to visit often when our daughter-in-law used to be my wife's hairdresser; I would drop my wife off at the salon, and then often head to this spot for a walk.
Well, when our DIL stopped doing hair, my wife moved to another salon which conveniently is closer to home, but it meant I hadn't been to this spot for a couple of years, so it was nice to visit it again.
Here is the entrance to the area; as you can see, it's another property managed by the Buzzards Bay coalition.

as I entered the place, some nice reds were visible in this spot.

But once I got to the water, more colors were visible; from this spot, you have to love the colors Mother Nature shares with us at this time of year, but in the back of my mind I am always thinking it's like Mother Nature is teasing us as not soon after winter arrives.

and more of the nice warm colors

A spot I always visit when I go there; well, in fact, I visit all of the area each time. It's not a huge reserve, so it's easy to walk around it all, but I love the view from this spot.

and walking on the trail there,

Good day, dear friend @tattoodjay.
It’s great that you’ve had better luck this year in finding autumn landscapes to photograph.
What a beautiful and colorful landscape.
Excellent shots.
Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay, how are you?
These trees are so beautiful and colorful, and the photographs you’ve taken are truly lovely.
Beautiful photographs.
Very nice! It looks like you are slowly getting there! I think our colors have peaked in the north, but around where I live they are still holding on a bit.
Que hermoso 😀
