Some nice colors in Buttonwood Park
Good mo0rning and I hope your week is going well
The other day I got a call from a friend/Facebook contact who leads a group called the Friends of Buttonwood Park, they do regular cleanups around the park and maintain some of the gardens and trees, and I think its awesome, they help to keep the park so beautiful and as many call it the Jewel or crown Jewel of the city
Buttonwood Park is a 97-acre municipal park designed in the 1890s by the renowned Olmsted firm. It features walking paths, a pond, and is famously home to the accredited Buttonwood Park Zoo. It is a premier community hub offering recreation, a historic district, and a renowned zoo
Anyway,s back to him messaging me, We have interacted quite a lot on Farcebook and also meet in the park for walks a couple of times, he is so proud of the park and a fountain of information on it. Walking with him was so cool, I learnt so much about the park.
HIw message the other day was that many of the trees were blossoming nicely and probably wouldn't last to long and I many want to check it out.
I initially thought to stay in as I had only been out of the hospital for a couple of days and my energy levels were still low, but then I thought a nice easy walk in the park with some fresh air and of course my camera, would be good for my mental well-being, so that afternoon I headed there
Here is one of the trees near the kids playground, when I walk by playgrounds, especially when theres lots of families nd kids playing, I keep my camera down at my side, I know some people think the worse if they see an older gentleman with a camera around kids outdoors, but i popped it up to my eye for this shot.

Now i should say that, afternoon it was cloudy and gloomy for the most part when I was there so getting good shots of the blossoms was a challenge, especially without blowing out the skies or needed a lot of tweaking in Photoshop to recover the skies as much as I could, and in this first shot the sky looked bad so I did something I seldom do and replaced the sky
Some more blossoms in the park

I'm no expert on trees, even though on the walk with Richard the head of the Friends of the park group, he did tell me the types of many of the trees, but my memory is perhaps not what it used to me and i forgot the names
Heres a couple more

Oh wow, those are beautiful! The tree in front of our house and the ones near my office are starting to bloom. I always kind of enjoy this time of year even if it is still a bit cold. I'll be happy when the leaves are fully on the trees.
OHh yah I love this time but it comes and goes so quickly
Good afternoon, dear friend @tattoodjay.

That's a nice group project to clean up the park like that, not many people take the time to do that these days. You caught some great shots of spring blossoms while you were out there, what a nice day!
Those yellow bushes are really pretty, I can see why they caught your eye. I hope those mornings are getting nice and warm for some early walks. I bet it will feel good to get out more often.
I've been down with the flu for several days, just bouncing back now. Such is life at times sadly. I hope things are going well for you and your wife!
OHh yeah and there a nice team I have met a few of them at a couple of events, and yesterday I got out for a nice walk, but not today its warm enough but winds gusting to 40mph so staying inside
Glad your over the flu hope your 100% soon
