John the Baptist bore witness of Him. So also all the prophets of old.
The disciples did bear witness of Him after His Ascension
Angels did announce His arrival in this world and encouraged His to be cheerful because the same way He ascended, He will also come back.
The keynote here is that Jesus Christ is the spoken word of God who lives forever.
