Once upon a time a king ruled in the land of GOD'S PATHWAY. He loved God with all his heart to the extent that when he was coronated as the king of the land that God asked him what he wants and was given.

All the villagers loved the king, because things were going on we'll in his time.
No death, no war, no diseases and pestilence, no wickedness was mentioned in the land, no bribery and corruption, no kidnapping, no ritual killings of any kind.
The economy of the land was at its best due to the righteous people that were positioned to take some sensitive positions in the land. These were the people of high integrity who will not compromise in the face of trial and temptation. The people who have covenanted with God by sacrifice.

When the king saw all that were happening in the land, he was happy.
Piece and serenity everywhere.

Farmers are doing well, the traders of all kinds of products both home and abroad are making profits in their businesses.
Taxes are not too cumbersome for them to pay.

The professional workers are putting in their best to see the economy of the land working well at its best. They were being paid we'll and they also pay their workers well enough.

No one was lacking. Everyone had in abundance.

Remember this was not just happening because the king is noble, intelligent, wise or too righteous. But because the Father of the king was a man after God's heart. The Father of the king loved God and his entire life was dedicated to God without reservation. This made God to promise him that he will never lack heir to his throne. This is the privilege that this king was enjoying. His father fought throughout his entire life but during the reign of this king, peace and serenity were everywhere.

As this king who took the throne after his father was greatly blessed by God, he was lost in the midst of his reign and give way to the mundane things to turn his heart against God. He began to celebrate the gifts and abandoned the Giver. This brought in calamity that destroyed his dynasty and was almost forgotten because God dealt with him in the way he will never forget.

How did he turn his back on God's ordinances and did otherwise?

The King has a weakness which he could not control. When a man can not control his appetite, the appetite will one day lead him to a journey of no return. Therefore, be cautioned and never allow your appetite to control you.

King has as many beautiful young ladies in the land and they are well to do. He thought in himself that I am a king who has authority over every things both animate and inanimate. His hunger rose up and his desire was multiplied to have many wives. He has as many wives as he desired because no one can question his authority as a king.

As if that one his not enough, he joined abroad to have concubines. He completely forgot who brought him to the throne.

He was led astray by his wives to bow and worship another god when he was invited by some of his wives to felicitate with them in the worship of their gods.

He consented and later went there.

Without much ado, his kingdom was divided and was given to another but only one remain for the sake of his faithful father who served God wholeheartedly during his own reign on earth.

At the end, the king says, VANITY UPON VANITY. ALL IS VANITY!
