Hive Power Up Day (#HivePUD) is here again and it's the first time I'm no longer eligible for the main prizes due to going over 8,000 HP! I'm still taking part though as it's a great initiative and an excellent time to write a post about my Hive goals and progress too!

So - I've just powered up 500 Hive (I think I still get @hivebuzz badges as I think that's a separate thing to the HPUD prizes - so I should hopefully get a level 4 Bee!)

Ok now you've powered up here's another update on my finances and Hive goals (TLDR - things are looking good!)...

My Hive Activities

I seem to have found more time to post and comment in the last month - and that's paying off in terms of rewards. I'd added quite a bit of HP just from that even before my power up today. The difference in my HP from a month ago before the power up is a very nice 212HP. I think that's all from post/comment/curation rewards (I don't think anything else I've done would have given me more HP anyway).

I'm holding a sizeable amount of BRO as well as some holdings in SIM, BXT, UTOPIS and INCOME - all chosen because they pay out liquid Hive in one way or another. (more about that below...)

Rising Star Update

I am of course still holding 1 million Starbits for the Rising Star millionaire mission. I'm playing the game very actively and currently trying to grow my fanbase as much as possible. I'm at 60,000 fans right now and growing at something like 1,500 fans a week through focusing on buying cards with fans (instead of buying packs).

BTW: it's super easy to prioritise buying fans using the site: https://rsgfam.com/ by the fabulous @foxon (thank you!).
Of course you do then have to grow your skill to keep on top of EGO, but I seem to be able to do that sufficiently right now with at least one music lesson per day (I'm currently getting 105 to 209 skill from a Basic Singing Lesson).

Notes:

1. The numbers in brackets are the dollar equivalent according to LeoDex at the time I recorded that figure. This later point could make some interesting future comparisons of the FIAT value of my holdings in those tokens.

2. I've stopped tracking details of weekly earnings as it was pretty hard to do - but this month I'm adding back in an estimate of just the liquid Hive dividends I'm receiving per week - this is from BRO, INCOME, BXT, UTOPIS and SIM.

Progress against goals for 2022

• Increase my Hive Power to 10,000HP

This is now more or less in the bag. I have 300 liquid Hive still which I'll keep liquid for now in case of other opportunities but if I powered that up I'd be on 9,653.

And this month I grew by more than 200HP from posting/commenting/voting so even if I do use that liquid Hive for other things I should meet this goal before the end of the year.

• Increase my followers to 250

I'm at 248 up from 230 last month so 2 more to go! And then I'll have a think about whether to extend this goal to 300.

NB: I don't think followers are the be all and end all on Hive and I'm not hung up on this number particularly. I mainly picked this goal because I wanted to give myself the extra encouragement to make a lot of effort with engagement. And indeed I have been making more effort at engaging with others posts/comments - which brings so many more benefits than (potentially) more followers.

• Weekly earnings of 100 Hive

I've stopped trying to track all the various ways I'm earning on Hive. However, if I just look at the easy(er) to track things here are some estimates at weekly earnings from the last month:

• liquid Hive from dividends: 18.43 p/w
• HP growth p/w (excluding my HIVE PUD power up): 48
• HBD growth p/w: 41 (currently worth 33 Hive)

We can see that I did achieve around 100 Hive per week this month. Those things aren't necessarily going to stay that way though - I did more posting than usual this month and the Hive price affects it quite a bit. So let's keep looking at this one and see how things go in the coming months.
