Tenacity

So I'm pleased to present the official video for Tenacity [Future Never Cut].

It's a collaboration from 2021 with the electronic music producer Primaudia Record who I met through EMA (Electronic Music Alliance.) They are a community of producers and it was where I met @stickupboys who got me into Hive as well as several other excellent musicians and artists you'll find here on Hive - @fatasfunk @nickyhavey @gribbles and @tygertyger.

Tenacity is a track that's been on quite a journey - the main theme starting out as part of my (never released) album length project which was the result of my initial explorations with modular synthesis.

Later, my modular music stems were picked up and sculpted into this track by Primaudia, with his hard hitting drums and production techniques adding a huge amount of energy and resulting in something in a genre we are still struggling to define!

Both Tenacity [Original Version] and Tenacity [Future Never Cut] were released on Electronic Alliance Records, EMA's in house label.

About Primaudia Record

Primaudia specialises in dark, neo-apocalyptic instrumentals with heavy emphasis on distortion and bass.

His tracks are influenced by several genres including, industrial rock, UK hardcore, synthwave, thrash metal, progressive house and techno.

The ominous animated mask in the video is actually Primaudia's online avatar - it's an image based on his paintballing mask!

Hey - thanks! Yeah a lot of my music ends up being pretty spacey. Most of the instrumental stuff in this collaboration is my work, whereas all the percussion and the arrangement of it is Primaudia's - very interesting how collaborations create something neither party would have done on their own!

Cool stuff even though you know I'm not such an EDM guy. Maybe I can be converted :) I actually like a lot of stuff and I'm open to all sorts of music really.

Good to see you promoting Hive on Twitter as a place for musicians. We need more here.

Thanks so much @steevc - and I'm not sure I would have listened to this kind of music before I met Primaudia either! I find it's always good to listen to different genres and in this case even collaborating with a musician doing a different one!

Hey - thanks for the welcome! I saw your post about using #boombox recently and thought I'd give it a try. There are some great musicians on Hive and it's great to have another way to discover good musicians and good music.
