Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Another One For The Books.

Literally so hey!

It does feel a little strange to say the least, since I worked on the same yet different car just a week ago in the same spot and when it got moved out we moved the same one into the shop. This time for the differential.

Hence the rear end is standing all high and mighty. It's a wonderous thing what lack of proper assessment can lead to.

Really it is, the car doesn't even have 100k kilometers on the clock and it is still under the motor plan. Well let's not get ahead of ourselves, maybe the damage ain't that bad at all!

What A Thing To Remove.

Well yeah it's hard to see what exactly, the under side of a vehicle is always a blurry mess for most people. It was once like that for me as well, I have to say!

Hmmm let me just put it this way, we have a whole bunch of stuff to remove and I thought I'd just remove all of it in one go.

That Little Cramped Up Thing.

There she is, there she is!

That's what I want out but unfortunately it is really cramped up in there, so I thought I might as well rip out the entire rear sub-frame with the entire suspension setup.

It wont be that much effort really, getting it out at-least, once it's out I still have some work left to do hey!

It Looks Tampered With.

It might be or might not but it does look like it has been worked on before. I don't like the look of this at all but here we go!

Notice the oil leak that has been washing the casing constantly?

There Is Ya Oil Leak.

Well there it is hey! A CV shaft seal that got busted up somewhere along the line and it slowly crept out over time and that can be even more deadly than having all the oil flush out all at once.

Under the right circumstances of course.

Strange how none of the oil got caught onto the CV itself hey.

A Quicky Before Leaving.

A Job that was certainly much easier and quicker than I thought it would be.

Except for the propshaft, that one was quite tricky, since it was a fourwheel drive and I only lifted the rear end, the front wheels still bit down on the ground.

Hence making the turning of the propshaft to get in reach of the other bolts a little bit harder than I thought. I won it though.

Take note this is not a how to guide, merely myself talking about the work I do and my thoughts around certain things.

To everyone who made it this far into my post Thank you for the read and the support.

If you found this entertaining or educational please consider a re-blog and up-vote.

Most of all please leave a input in the comments below, whether is good or bad critic I would like to know, whether its your opinion or your way of doing things in a different manner I would like.

Look at everything you have to do to correct the oil spill, but everything is easy when you have the right tools, well, and also the knowledge, that truck looks a lot like the Hyundai Santa Fe, greetings.

Well in the sense of a SUV it is exactly the same thing just a different car maker brand!

It really is a lot of work just for one thing hey but that is all good, that's what were there for!
