As Good As New But It Isn't

Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Work To Be Done!

Remember that differential I took out on the Ford Kuga the other day?

Well I've finally gotten around to going further on that one, I already removed the prop-shaft which was sort of a bugger, to say the least.

Now I've got some cleaning work to do, rather do that before I remove the differential hey. That way literally everything is clean!

Oh I can't actually wait!!! It's going to look brand new just by giving it a power wash!

Well yeah, it's not that dirty though, I know it does look like a heap of dirt but it's mostly just dust that packed up over the years.
Very little oil even though it did leak oil, not the worst though.

Some degreaser as always and let it sit for about five minutes, I like to do that. Sometimes I keep it up just until it dries up, it's not really dry yet when I start wapping it but most people would say it is dry. I just feel it works better, some people say it doesn't. What do they know xD!

Oh btw, sorry for the mismatched photos!

See I told you! It was going to look as good as new!
It does almost look as good as new! See that's the craving I get, to buy old vehicles and make them look really nice again! Laughs! Cleaning goes a long way, it really does!

Well I suppose it's time to get her out of there!

Clearly It'll Be A Fast Runner.

Sort of... In the sense of removing it ey!

It has twelve bolts holding it in place and I know that might sound like a awful lot but it isn't really, just a zap zap zap with the airtool and the job would sort of be done for!

Not the tear down of the differential itself though, nah that I'll share in a different post. That also wasn't the priority for today.

Slick, I'd say.

Sometimes running into problems makes you realize a better way out of the madness!

That is what these CV's showed me on this build, the one got stuck inside the wheelhub and I could not get it out so I removed it with the hub all together!

It would make for a very easy fitment indeed!

I can tell you one thing and that would be that the next Kuga I do would surely have a much easier differential removal than this one I had now!

Not So Cool Now!

I have to say and yes this is meaningless to the post I get that! This differential looks like something really meager to say the least! It looks like half the size it was before I removed it from the sub-frame!

It seems like everything is getting more and more sensitive and much less smaller over time! It's almost sad to say, isn't it?

Take note this is not a how to guide, merely myself talking about the work I do and my thoughts around certain things.

To everyone who made it this far into my post Thank you for the read and the support.

Most of all please leave a input in the comments below, whether is good or bad critic I would like to know, whether its your opinion or your way of doing things in a different manner I would like.

Hello brother, good cleaning, it has turned out like new, something logical since, as you have mentioned on other occasions, you are one of those meticulous people who like to clean every last particle of dirt on the pieces, jjjj, that's good. By the way, a good idea to restore cars and leave them like new. Greetings

Honestly that is a great idea to buy up old cars and restore them 😄 I have been thinking about that for quite some time now.

The only problem is money, but I'll start saving for that goal 😃 even if it is just for funs!

Interesting indeed, it looks quite clean, no oil leakage was observed.

I would love to take my entire truck apart and use that degreaser. Sometimes when I have to see something below this I come away traumatized by the accumulated dirt.

Excellent work. Greetings!
