Gaining Seijuro To Command Our Armies: A Story Of Honour And Dignity

So the battle for unity amongst our people have begun, Samurai against Samurai. An age old "tradition" of killing ourselves has to end.

Now.

Ayu have re-united the clans for a single purpose, to defeat Appolion and her band of warring knights. This however would not be an easy task to accomplish. First we have to retake our emperors palace and then we have to rebuild and raise ourselves from the ashes of what was once a great kingdom.

After uniting the clans we made our way to the palace, we were welcomed with open gates but we were foolish to believe that they would not be aware of us arriving. Of-course they closed the gates upon our arrival and fired a few arrows to warn us.

Ayu stepped forward to ask Seijuro to stop the bloodshed once and for all and to put down his weapons and let the people decide on who is to be emperor.

Naturally he declined by shooting a few more arrows and asked Ayu to bend the knee.

The only problem was that Seijuro was not known to give up easily to lesser men. He was a great warrior, he believed in "Live by the sword, die by the sword."

Negotiation was out of the quesstion.

Since Ayu united all of the clans into a singular cause it was clear that we had the numbers to win this battle, the only problem was to get those numbers inside the city in a effective manner and not one by one.

I took a few of my brothers and sneaked our way into the palace.

Once we were able to gain access to the palace I fought my way through alley ways of which I've not seen in years! No doubt that the few men honoring Seijuro would be very well trained and would put up a great fight.

Needless to say they fell one by one by one.

We finally made it within the palace walls itself, now all we had to do was get the gates opened. It proved to difficult to achieve with hands and man power.

But they seemed to have provided us with an effective method of achieving this goal.

An elephant.

I took it upon my self to throw a dagger into the chest of this elephant they so desperately tried to control.

Well it seemed to have done the job perfectly as this angered the elephant and caused it to charge forward ramming into the mechanism of the gate causing it to open half way.

This meant to be a rinse and repeat situation.

After several retries because of the elephant trampling me to death I finally managed to get it to break through the gates of the palace where Ayu was waiting in force to storm the palace.

Once we were in there would be very little that would be able to stop us now. Not even Seijuro himself.

We were now able to storm the palace and slay anyone who was still willing to stand with Seijuro.

First we took the palace grounds, then we took the stairways, next it was the archers firing positions and then it was onto Seijuro who would be waiting with his most loyal and most strongest of warriors!

I wasted no time in storming the heart of the palace, the faster you can take them by surprise the faster this can all be put behind us.

After Seijuro realized that this was going to be a losing battle for him he threw down his sword and asked for a proper execution.

I denied him this, instead he would fight and die like the great warrior he is.

A trial by combat seems only honourable does it not?

There I was besting one of the greatest warriors our empire has ever known.

It goes without saying that is was no easy fight. I fought hard and he fought good.

But killing Seijuro would have meant losing a great commander so I offered to take his place in death.

The war was not over yet and we have a need for a great commander who would be able to lead our armies against Appolion.

It would seem that Seijuro still has some honour and dignity left in him, he decided to end this and pledge his allegiance towards us and serve beneath Ayu.

I would gladly still offer up my own life to see the look on Appolion's face.

Because our next step in uniting the clans would be to bring the full force of the Samurai to her doorstep.
