Less Than A Week!
Less than a week!
In less than a week I'll be sitting on a beach with the sun shining over me and my toes stuck into the warm white beach sand! All the while sipping on margaritas!
Okay that was a lie, I'd likely be chugging down a beer!
Am I prepared for this? Well yeah of-course and no not even close!
I haven't packed yet and I've got a ton of work that still needs to get done before I leave, with that said, this time Friday I'll be on the beach!
In truth this was probably the most adult thing I have ever done, talking then planning and then going on a vacation! It feels unreal in someway but that has been the case for the last three years!
As a kid I just never saw myself planning a vacation with somebody, heck anybody at all! It always felt like stuff only adults do and look at me now! Here I am!
The Situation At Work?
Well what can I say? Will we be done with the work?
No, Laughs JUST NO! Not by a long shot! As the vehicles leave more arrives!
Unfortunately that is what it is! The motor industry doesn't give two shits about anyone in it! I don't mean that in a literal sense, for example the Motor Union doesn't care. It's more of a when a car breaks it breaks and there ain't nothing anyone can do about it except for us grease monkeys!
Bossman has a lot of hope to get all the vehicles out before Thursday afternoon! I can only laugh! We have about forty vehicles, that rounds down to about ten a day! Oh wait today is already done for! 13+ a day! It's not happening! Especially not when all of them have transmission problems!
He even asked me if I could work on Saturday to which I replied. "Uncle I'm already going to be at the beach Friday afternoon!"
So Bossman, I'm sorry that the big boss didn't inform you of my plans but the best we can do is to try our best to get as much as possible out!
The Trip Down.
Well something that I've always wanted to do was make a whole journey of the journey down to the seaside!
Since I have three weeks of vacation one can always make the trip down into a three day adventure or even a week long adventure. Plan ahead and stop at every town spend the day there and sleep over and so it goes on from town to town! Instead of pushing it through a nine hour drive (Which isn't that long I know) but the road down has so many hidden treasures just waiting to be seen!
Why not?
Well I don't know why but it always slips out and it's never been something that turned into reality! Oh what am I bitching about it's only my third year going down to the seaside! When we reach the 10th year and I still haven't done that, well then it's time to have a sit down with myself! Laughs!
Hopefully We Don't Run Into Problems!
I am doubtfull of that, I did a decent service on the car this week and an even more thorough inspection of everything! I have been doing that since I got the car! Prevention is better than cure and that is something people often forget when it comes to their vehicles!
With that said I do drive a Ford, so anything is possible! Laughs nah I still have some of the strong motors they built! None of that EcoBoost crap nowadays!
Okay I'm drifting!
The Final Preparations!
To tell the truth I haven't even started with the first preparations!
I still have to pack, I'm still waiting for the sheep I ordered, then I have to pack the meat into packets and decide what I'll be taking down.
I still need to do my laundry, although I am not too worried about that I mostly only have dirty work clothes.
Then it's packing and making sure I packed everything!
All of this I will leave for Wednesday night and Thursday night!
If everything goes as planned we should be departing early Friday morning at 3 AM!

I get your point, I work on a Repair Car Shop, on the administration side and its a never ending fight with parts providers, mechanics, clients, cars themself, its a never ending job and same as other critical services now days most ppl cant live without their cars, good luck at the beach, Im looking forward going to the beach this summer...January, Feb ✌️
We've become too reliant on them 🤣 I love my car and if I had to go without it... well it would be a great deal harder!
Heck, the adminastration side! Sheesh must be a real headache from time to time, I can only imagine!!!

I guess the harder part of going on a trip is the preparations and making sure everything is sorted out before leaving. You don't want people bothering you while having your precious time out. 😌 Enjoy your vacation.
That is indeed true! I have three doggers that obviously can't go with. So somebody has to feed them and all that stuff🫠🤣 we love them but hassles 🤣
Doing a little everyday can make for light work😀

So many parallels with how we think that I may go on a digression myself the "uh huh" head nod 😂
My work clothes are dirty, oh well.. need to get some laundry done too lol.
But I'm not on board with that beer anymore, or the margarita. I might be drinking some slightly fermented grape juice as I type this though.. just a drop with my other juices 😂

Whats up bud! Sorry about this delayed response! I've been meaning to get back to you a couple of times! Hectic week but I think for most people it was!
Well the departure on Friday went splendidly! Until halfway down to the coast! The car broke down or rather I got clutch issues and we had to turn back home! Major fuckup actually but nothing too serious. Atleast we werent stranded next to the road!
Headed home and took a different vehicle! We are here now,safe and sound!
Regarding the fermented grape juice,I'd actually give that a try, or are you referring to wine 🤣🤣 I'm not a hard drinker anymore though one or two beers at most!
I'd much rather get baked than drunk 😀😀😃 more enjoyable isn't it!!

Sucks to hear there was a mechanical issue with the car but I'm happy you had a back-up!
I've been working towards improving my diet by eating more meals throughout the day and letting my drinking water sit for 24 hours to evaporate chlorine out of it, and also drinking less water but more juice at times. I don't refrigerate the juice and the grape juice was smelling a little musky, but I don't know if it turned to alcohol at all lol. Indeed getting baked is better :D
Things are going well. I'm 3D printing a Crackmas tree star this morning.
