Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

One Of The Favourites!

Now of-course anything similar to my own is fun to work on... the more I do the more I learn of what I own myself... It really is a win win win!

Okay so today I got the opportunity to close up one of these DCT250 transmissions!! Now in truth I can't wait to see what would the next thing that breaks on them will be? For now the only mechanical issue they have are shearing off the bump stops inside the casing. Other than anything clutch related there isn't much else that can go wrong on these...

The Trickiest Part.

Now as much as I would have liked to get photos I really couldn't risk it for a few stuff I want to share... anyways!

The trickiest part is to get all three clusters along with the differential in place and drop them down all together... without hurting the seal!

Fortunately for me I've done quite a bunch of them and by now it comes naturally!

Probably More Tricky!

Now there's another trickspot that I somewhat forgot about but then again I have no idea how that happened because that was pure terror to say the least! We have ways around it now!

I have three bolts that needs to be fitted in those spots... now the thing is the third is hidden... hidden real badly!

With more patience than an entire country I was able to get that part done with!

The Next Big Step!

Gotta make sure those selectors are well in place!

I do think that this transmission is a piece of art in itself! The entire transmission only has three bolts inside and it's the three I mentioned earlier! Along with that it doesn't have one single dell inside holding shafts together!

How right?

Everything pieces into one another and the casings hold everything in place!

I like the idea of those!

The Final Stretch!

Okay we've almost made it!

With the casing sealed and the bolts coming in next! After that there is only the TCM left and the sensors along with the clutch!

These really go quite fast! Unimaginably fast!

But Wait There's More!

Okay so I'm not exactly done with the other one yet! I still need to fit the clutch but I'll fit both of them as I'm finished with the next build then I can do both of them in one go and package them transmission and have them out of the shop!

Only by Monday though!

I do like the shineyness inside the transmissions! Dont you?

One Old And One New!

So just one of these builds was authorized to get a new clutch but of-course the one with the old clutch was replaced a few months ago so it's not exactly old old!

Although we didn't really do anything to it, the problem is TCM related and that Ford will replace on them self!

Take note this is not a how to guide, merely myself talking about the work I do and my thoughts around certain things.

To everyone who made it this far into my post Thank you for the read and the support.
