There Is Still Hope For My Little Onion'S

Well Hello There Gardeners!

Okay so I thought it good to give a little update on what happened over the last two weeks with my My Little Onion Sprout! and damn I went back now to copy the link from the post and I noticed this was more than a month ago! That is frikkin impossible! Have I been asleep for two weeks?

Okay enough of that, well sad to say the little onion died, or more so we drowned it to death! Yeah we made some mistakes but at-least it was only one little onion, that hates us very much now where ever he may be!

It's not like I'm going to let that stop me at all! In-fact I'm not just going to plant more onions! I'm going to be expanding my little non existent garden by planting some Lemon trees as well! I heard they are a tough one to grow, but that's just what I've heard

Okay First The Onions!

I do have to make ammends with the onion society so this is my tribute to them! Laughs!

I won't be digging into the process too much since I've done this last week already and they have been alive for a week now, the first onion was alive for almost two weeks I think so there is still some chance at failure although I think we might, just might have won this!

Why Did The Onion Die?

What we were able to find out was that the onions like the ground moist but not wet, not so much as to let the onion start rotting, basically drowning the onion with water. But it was a little learning curve and it was sort of my fault.

I thought that since I planted it a day too late and the onion started drying out already and I sumberged it in a little bowl of water and within a few hours it started getting a visual difference! That and the onion started growing out at the bottom, so naturally I thought wow okay these want a lot of water much like rice and this wasn't the case at all!

I suppose another try is in order!

Let's Get On The Lemon Trees!

Okay they are far from being trees to say the least! Before we go that far let's see if we can manage to get them out of the seed first!

I had a whole bunch of seeds that I folded in between some cottons to dry out but somehow I've lost that along the way so I had to cut open a fresh lemon to grab some seeds! Also the thing of having it dried out is also there, yeah once again I've done no prior research growing lemon trees but if this fails I'll have a go at google!

I did wash the seeds with some clean water to get most of the lemon juice and any pulp of that might have stuck.

Apparently I want to jump the gun over here!

The Betty only now told me that we might need to germinate them first and I was over here thinking that I might get some fingers full of dirt! I really wanted to stick em in the ground today! I suppose that will have to wait until next week or whenever they're done germinating._

I pulled out five seeds from the lemon and to be fair if not one of them starts peeling out of the seed well then I should know I am doing something completely wrong! But then again I won't mind that since the hardest lessons are learnt through experience and that is what I am after here!

I got them prepped out and watered them just enough for the cloths to be moist! I might have to take this plate home with me since "The Betty" isn't going to be in town for a few nights! So now I am wondering how long I can stretch the germination process for. Stretching it too long might make it grow out more but it might not have that strength it needs to keep pushing through the dirt to get to the sunlight.

I think I'll just have to wing it and see what happens! I really hope these make it out, I want to start a little Bonzai forest with them, that is if I even can, it'll have a proper canopy wont you say? Given the lemon trees have such huge leafs.

The End Goal.

That pretty much is the end goal, see the onions I'm planting to get the feel for it so long but when we move into our own place I am for sure going to start a huge onion garden and see if we can't go self sustainable or at-least start to!

So all the vegetables I am planning on experimenting with doesn't necessarily have to survive now, they only have to enrich my mind around them more and more everyday!

The trees I am planting well those I would prefer to survive, since trees take years to grow! But most of all I want to turn all the trees into little Bonzai forest gardens!

A dream that will take years to see finished but when it's done I think it would have been worth the frustration and time!

Thats just how I have learn most of the things I know about computers, just fuck them up and if it didnt work then now its even better, you already know what to do, takes time to fuck things up that much that eventually its all bright knowledge, some thing Im some kind of genius but Im not its just many years of doing the wrong thing, keep going ✌️

Laughhhhsss!! Dude!!!!! That's exactly how I learnt computers aswell... One afternoon the mum went shopping and I pulled apart the computer we bought back in 2002...thibking cleaning it would make it faster.... It might have.... But I had it tore apart and when I had it back together I had trouble with those little wires from thee computer case... The power button and the reset along with the speaker on the motherboard.... Heck dude that was the life back then... Half life 1 on PC was the best shit ever!!

But yeah if they die, they die I'll plant some new seeds and we'll.... Try again

Everything is achieved with patience, if they are large plants, there are many that take time, others do not, I did not know that process with lemon seeds and onions must be watered but with little water. You can water it with a flits, you have to be patient with everything if you want to achieve something.

I'm not sure myself... About the lemons... I've had them like for about two days now and nothing has happened as of yet, but they are thick seeds so they might take sometime, otherwise I'll just put them in the ground and see what happens....

I am playing and fiddling with this now so that when I move into my own place I can get the garden ready right of the bat!!

Same here, I make some mistakes once in a while with regard to my garden and I am hoping to improve every passing day.

As long as one can be consistent... You have to be consistent to achieve something and it looks like you've got it down the bag nicely!!!
