Through Stormy Weather: Building A Proper Shelter.
Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
Jungling!
So there I was picking raspberries from the trees in the forest next to my house, then the thought came to me.
I've been getting fed up for the half ass house I built myself just to get some shelter, well now I don't need shelter anymore but I am in need of a house! Or a hall!
Better would be a kingdom but to that we shall work!
Let's just say I quickly left the berries to gather wood!
Clearing Out.
Clearing out the ground on which I wanted to built proved to be a great deal of effort, getting it level wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but between the leveling of this building and the one I am still busy with I think I might have gotten the hang of it now!
Take Note I do have some places in the video where I pause and go on with the gameplay, I did that so that it's not just a bunch of building boredom!
Foundations Laid.
So I think I might have forced myself to build this but now the foundations are laid and there really isn't backing out of this one at all! There just isn't I am going to do this because it's what I've wanted to do for a long time now!
I know it looks stupid now standing alone but when the roof comes on and the other buildings start to fill up the empty plots things will really take a turn for the better!
Although I'd still be alone...

Well I can't let that stop me right?
This thing needs to be put down and once it's put down I still need to do both the moving and the destruction of the previous building, yeah I decided to scrap the old building since it just looks like total crap!
I have a lot of great ideas! Like mead halls! Towers! Docks! Farms! Castles! I want it all. Oh yeah I want two harbors, one on each side of my settlement!
Always The Roofs.
Why do the roofs always have to be so much complicated? Like why?
I did eventually win the roof but heck I think most of my building problems will spawn from building the roofs! You gotta plan these things out in advance really and if not you have to be able to think on your feet and adapt to what needs doing.

I loathed to start all of this but seeing this building now and how cool it looks, oh and it's not even done yet! Well this really gave me a new craving to get this settlement going!
For the next episode I will be moving the thousand items I have to this new place of living and from there on we shall sort everything out and see what we are in need of!

Great starting house. Really makes me want to jump back in and build something cool. Here's one of the old towns I played in and an unifinished state of the house I build for our Hive community server a long time ago.
Well I sure am going to throw all of this in the possibles bucket 🤣 I do like the idea of the watch tower... hmmm... perhaps build a watch tower on the mountain next to my house🙂🙂 just for funs as you said.
Is the server still going??
It's probably more than a year since it shut down. It was up for a good few months thanks to community donations.
The shelter looks much better, will you also build a palisade around it with watchtowers? Or it's not necessary.
Your post is really inspiring! I always struggle with the early stages of building in games like this. You make it look so organized. Maybe I should try a more planned-out approach next time. I'm excited to see how your towers and docks turn out – those are going to look epic.😊
This is a great house, when I started with Valheim my shelter was nothing like this, I have problems with the roof too haha.
It's a game that I find very deep, survivals are not my thing but this is one the good ones.

It is a deep game, I made a little adventure run and it turned into an entire night of fighting greydwarfs🤣 from a captured tower .
