Crypto Unbanned: Finally, Nigeria Gets It.

Stumbling upon the news that the Central Bank Of Nigeria which is the foremost and most important financial institution in Nigeria had announced that banks can now permit crypto related transactions and accounts running crypto affairs should be allowed to carry out their activities was one of the best news this December. Finally, owning crypto in Nigeria won't be seen a criminal activity and law enforcement officers like the police and EFCC can now step back and only go after bad actors and those who use crypto for the wrong reasons.

This development is one of the best so far from Nigeria this year and I'm more excited because this will be of great benefits in the future. Most people dealing with cryptocurrencies carry out their dealings/affairs like they belong to a secret cult because of the hostility some law enforcement show towards those suspected to have any involvements in crypto.

Many of the policies and regulations put in place by the previous President of the CBN, Emefiele and the former President Buhari are being reviewed and adjusted as they are some of the most unreasonable policies ever especially the one where they had to print new cash notes for no good reason which got the country in some serious chaos.
