FTX Attemting To Recover Donated Funds.

FTX has started making moves to recover as much funds they gave out as donations to charity as a form.of relief from the current chaos they're in. News is that they've reached out to many organisations and charities they donated money to most recently. While some of these organisations have willingly return whatever it is they can return back, many organisations have claimed they've spent the funds they got and have nothing to return.

Before the crash of FTX, I felt Sam Bankman-Fried was one the most generous person in the cryptospace. There were many news of several donations particular towards Covid-19 relief and cure and most importantly his political donations to the the Democrats. Well, I do expect that they'd probably start requesting for their donations back from the politicians first, since most of the donations I know of were political, but sadly and unfortunately, I've never heard of politicians returning money, especially one given to them as gifts.

With respect to SBF's case in court, he pleaded not guilty to the counts of fraud and his trial will begin in October this year which would make it the biggest crypto case yet. I'm not sure FTX would be getting much of their donations back because most people normally wouldn't want to return it unless they either don't wanna have anything to do with FTX or they somehow sympathise with FTX and SBF over the current situation.

This matter would be pretty long in my opinion and I don't see this favoring FTX and SBF particularly in anyway. All I can hope however is that those who have suffered losses from these events somehow recover because I can't even begin to imagine how hard life must be right now for folks who had so much of their life savings and emergency funds on FTX when it went down. It's really saddening and I just hope those who suffered losses recover quickly.

I only started to pay attention to SBF when the crypto market was falling...But I had started to be sceptical about people who were pushing COVID...I know I am a doctor and all but a lot about it has been fishy and seeing him make donations there would have been a flag that he was playing either an ignorant game or he had malicious intent.

His housemate recently decided to take a plea deal. I wrote about it here.

I think things are not done falling around him and he should have pleaded guilty.
