How Cashless Are You Since You Began Your Crypto Journey?

My sibling and I went out to get a couple things from the grocery shop and just like every other day, we just went out with our phones for making payments via transfer as usual. Turns out the place we regularly bought our things was closed due to a curfew as a result of unrest and robbery in area. We had no idea it was that serious since we worked from home and then decided to try a neighbour who own a shop and we felt she should have some of the things we wanted.

After buying all we could get, we asked for her bank account details so we could make payment for the things we bought via transfer but wanted cash instead. She was aged and wasn't savy so she insisted we paid with cash because it would be trouble for her trying to go withdraw the money and she didn't want a case that a fake transfer was made. Well," cash", that's something I haven't been using for a very long time now because almost every payment I made were either in form of bank transfers or crypto. I don't even have a debit card.

Well, it dawned on me that I had been totally consumed in the Cashless economy forgetting that the world still uses cash and some prefer it to transfers. But I really thought everyone agreed that transfers were convenient, I mean besides the fact that sometimes bank networks could be shitty. The grocery shop we regularly use accepts cryptocurrencies and even my barber also accepts cryptos, so you see there was really no need for me to worry about cash until today.

Well, it didn't start to like this, it was pretty gradual, and since my movements were restricted due to the pandemic when I did the most cashless transactions, I think I just adapted to the system and did transfers anywhere I was to make payments.

Eventually, she told the shop owner we had no cash and had to go find a way to withdraw some cash for her from a nearby POS stand. It did kinda felt like I wasn't from here, like I was going back in history holding all that cash when I could have just sent her the money from my smartphone.

How cashless have you been since you began your crypto journey?

I hit my target to HODL a specific amount of FIAT in the bank, now is the time to get some new revenue and invest it. Not in crypto as I've done that all over the space when the market was high or low, but I am thinking more about real estate and have my eyes on some terrains to acquire.

Real estate is awesome and I still my eyes in that industry. Requires quite alot of money tho so I'm also trying to stack up as many cash and crypto I can muster till I'm ready. Great decisions buddy.
