30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii (CHERRY MAGIC! : BL anime)

It's been a while since I actually watched a BL (Boy's Love) anime series. I guess the last one was Sasaki to Miyano which was released two years ago. Well, I watched its movie sequel last year, though and both were really cute and feel-good anime.

This winter season, they released yet another interesting BL series. I'm also reading the manga version of this series, but I decided to watch the anime as well. It's called 30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii or Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!

The title itself is already very interesting, isn't it? When I first heard of this title, it got me curious, so I decided to read the manga version and I enjoyed it. The anime was also really fun to watch, but before I blab more about my thoughts about it, let me tell you a bit about the story.

Kiyoshi Adachi (the black haired guy) is your typical office worker. He usually keeps to himself and didn't really want to attract any attention. When he turned 30 years old, he discovered that he suddenly possessed an ability to read people's mind when he touches them. This ability came to because he remained a virgin when he turned 30.

He has this co-worker, Yuichi Kurosawa (the brown-haired guy) who is the star of their team at work. He's the epitome of perfection. Everyone admires him not only because of his good looks, but also his ability to get things done at work.

One day, Adachi accidentally touch Kurosawa while they were in a crowded elevator and he heard Kurosawa's intense and chaotic monologue of his extreme crush on him. Adachi, despite hearing all of Kurosawa's thoughts, tried to deny and disregard his feelings. He only ever heard his thoughts, but this made him extra conscious about Kurosawa. He noticed how genuine and affectionate the person is towards him until they get to the point when it was difficult to ignore.

Really, this anime is so wholesome! Both of them are new to this situation and they're just oozing with fluffiness! I was just smiling the whole time I was watching the available episodes.

Of course, there's some drama and complications and stuff... perhaps the heavier ones would be in the second season (if there is) based on the manga. Also, these two aren't the only couple in the story.

There's also this cute side story between Tsuge (Adachi's friend) and Wataya (a deliveryman slash aspiring dancer). Their story is also very cute and Tsuge is such a sweetheart! And oh, I like how the anime inserted their story... in the manga, they usually make a separate chapter for these two, but the anime made the story flow much better. <3

Aaaahhh~ my fujoshi heart is full. Thanks BL gods for providing this fluffy and amazing anime!

I like how light it is. Though, I also love really intense and heartbreaking BL stories, but anime like this warms my heart. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes. There'll be 12 and I've already watched 10... and the 11th one was released yesterday, I think? :)

I know BL isn't for everyone, but if you're openminded and curious enough to try, then I suggest you watch this. :)
