A Fish Jumped Out of the Ditch... We're Keeping it! <3

Something interesting happened yesterday. My parents, Arashi and I were in the outdoor kitchen preparing for lunch and just hanging out in the morning. Mama, Arashi and I went inside to prepare the table while papa was in the store because there was a customer.

When papa was about to go inside, he saw a fish near the door going to our dining area. It was still alive! At first, we were wondering as to how it arrived in that area or how it even entered our place.

We concluded that came from the ditch. About a couple years back, one of our neighbors had a fish pond. However, they had to move away and transfer to another area, so they decided to throw their fish in the ditch in the neighborhood.

Since then, we occasionally see them in certain areas of the ditch. Our drainage for our laundry is connected to that ditch, so it must have been where it came from. Papa returned the fish in the drainage and we went on with our daily activities.

When I went out to bring my dirty clothes in the laundry basket, I saw the fish again. It returned! So, we decided to keep it.

We placed it in this container yesterday. At least the water is deeper and it could enjoy swimming. It stayed in this container overnight.

Earlier today, we enjoyed peeping through this container to check the fish. It's kind of a hassle to do so every time. Mama suggested we transfer it to a much clearer container since we don't have any fish bowl at home. We used an empty container for Arashi's dog food instead.

Now, we can easily see our new fishie. Papa also bought it some fish food earlier today. It's so relaxing to observe it. Arashi also enjoyed watching it this morning. I wonder if another fish would jump out of the ditch and come to our place in the future. haha
