Garden Updates: Re-planting Our Guava Sprouts Seedlings + Harvesting Wild Chili and Bell Pepper
In my previous post, I showed how after a couple months, the guava seeds we tried to germinate grew. We somehow gave up on it, but ended up being surprised by the growth of three sprouts. And so, I replanted them last Saturday. :)
The sprouts are so tiny, so we decided to recycle some coffee cups we got when my cousin brought us some coffee last time. They're quite sturdy, so we thought it would be nice to grow some seedlings in it.
First, I prepared some good soil and placed them in the cup. Papa previously placed some holes on the bottom of the cups to allow water to flow or drain.
Next would be placing some rice hulls in it. I also prepared this stick for mixing the soil. The sprouts are in that small container at the back.
After mixing the soil using the stick, I then created a hole to put in the sprouts. I also tried to wet the soil with some water.
I then planted in the tiny cute sprouts. Here are some closer shots of the three of them below.
They're still so small! I hope to see them grow and someday bear some guava fruits. I'd need a bigger container for these in the future. I'll be updating you about them in the coming days.
Last week, I also posted some photos of our wild chili and bell pepper.
It was rainy last Thursday, so we wanted to get some hot soup. Making it spicier would be very suitable for the cool weather, so we harvested them.
The soup was good. It was a bit spicy which made it better. We can't make it even spicier since mama isn't good with spicy things, though.
As for the bell pepper, mama prepared some noodle dish yesterday. It was just a simple dish out of the leftover ingredients we have at home... and to add more color, we harvested the bell pepper from our garden.
If you're curious of the food we used the wild chilis and bell pepper for, let me show you a couple pictures. :)
Slightly spicy tomato-based sinigang <3

I'll end this post here for now. Thanks a bunch and see you around! :)

Wow this is fantastic, good harvest.
Never tried spicy sinigang but I'm sure it is delicious! Siling green lang kasi nilalagay ko usually
It's not too spicy since hindi kaya ni mama... pero I'm betting that it'll be even more delicious kapag mas spicy... <3
Sili from the backyard. Ilang beses ako nagpunla mg sili, gang punla lmg sila.lol!
It took mga 2-3 months ata before nagbunga ng 4 pieces yung bonsai na siling labuyo... hahaha
