Happy Birthday in Heaven, Grandma! <3 [We Ordered Food From Grandma's Fave Restaurant on Her Birthday. ]

It was my grandma's birthday yesterday... June 12th. I mentioned yesterday because it's currently past midnight and the date has turned to the 13th. :)

Well, my grandma bid goodbye around 2 years ago... however, we still try to celebrate her birthday. Actually, we should have gone to church and offer a mass for her. Unfortunately, the churches in my area are still closed or their offices are closed. So, we just offered prayers directly for her.

Aside from that, we also decided to buy and eat her favorite food. Originally, we wanted to order Jollibee hamburger as it's one of her faves. But to no avail, there wasn't any delivery service because of the holiday (I guess). I even tried ordering Jollibee using Food Panda... but their delivery service wasn't available as well.

I checked another delivery service called Grab Food, but they're not connected to Jollibee. Fortunately though, grandma's favorite restaurant is connected to Grab Food, and so... we ordered food!




This was our lunch... It was so delicious! We bought three various dishes. They were packed in some plastic containers.

Let's open them and transfer to a much better container.. :)











We bought Makimi, Beef dish and Honey glazed pork. When we went to this restaurant "Manila Foodshoppe" with grandma before, she really likes their noodle dish and also this honey glazed pork. She also like sweet and sour fish... I ordered beef one, though. haha





We also prepared Grandma's favorite fruit, grapes! We had it for dessert. It was a great meal... although we wish grandma is still with us to share this meal together on her birthday, but I know she's in good hands now. :)

I enjoyed eating lunch with mama and papa.And ohh... since the serving was quite big, we couldn't finish everything and just had to reheat the leftover for dinner. <3

Somehow, I don't miss eating out that much anymore... delivery service is great! And we can save because we need not pay for the fare to get to the restaurants. They even have some discounts during selected times.

Of course, homemade dishes by mama and papa are still the best, but ordering some food from restaurants is also good. :) Food is life, after all.
